Introducing Good Witch

By  |

The new Hallmark Channel TV series Good Witch, based on the popular franchise of movies, will debut on Saturday, February 28, airing from 8 to 10 PM.

As fans of the movies know, Cassie Nightingale (series lead Catherine Bell) is a magical resident of the peaceful little town of Middleton where she lived with her Police Chief husband Jake Russell (Chris Potter), Jake’s two children from his first marriage, Lori and Brandon, as well as their little daughter Grace.

Since the first movie aired back in 2008, Cassie has been the owner of her family’s long-standing home called Grey House, which was converted into a lovely bed and breakfast managed by Jake’s father-in-law George O’Hanrahan (series regular Peter MacNeill), as well as her eclectic shop known as the Bell, Book and Candle.

In Good Witch (the TV series), Grace (series lead Bailee Madison) is now a bright teenage girl with some magical powers of her own, who lives in Grey House with her mother and Grandpa George while big sister Lori (series regular Hannah Endicott-Douglas), a world-travelling writer, returns to Middleton for a special service that involves the family and big brother Brandon (series regular Dan Jeannotte, taking over the role formerly played in all the movies by Matthew Knight) who is also back in Middleton but with an unexpected announcement to make to the family.

Fans will also recognize Derek Sanders (series regular Noah Cappe), who is still in uniform with the police department and Martha Tinsdale (series regular Catherine Disher), who is still holding her seat as the Mayor of Middleton.

Joining the show is new-in-town doctor Sam Radford (series lead James Denton), his angry, bad-boy son Nick (series regular Rhys Matthew Bond), local real estate agent and Cassie’s best friend Ryan Elliott (series regular Anthony Lemke) and Grace’s best friend Anthony (series regular Shane Harte).

Good Witch will have its two-hour debut on the Hallmark Channel on Saturday, February 28 at 8/7c.
