Hallmark
GOOD WITCH Series Set to Premiere February 28
Hallmark Channel is giving us more of the good stuff – the Good Witch, that is. The network will debut a TV series based on the series of TV movies on Saturday, February 28 at 8/7c.
The Good Witch movies have been very successful for Hallmark Channel over the years, and as the network branches out into original series, it seems logical to capitalize on that success. Catherine Bell continues to play Cassie Nightingale, the titular heroine, joined by NGTV fav Bailee Madison as her now-teenage daughter, Grace (when we last saw her, Grace was a toddler), and James Denton as Dr. Sam Radford, Cassie’s new neighbor and, we assume, love interest.
What’s this? A love interest for Cassie, whom we last saw happily married to Middleton’s chief of police Jake? While we can’t tell you exactly what’s going on, here’s a clue: the first episode of the series is titled “Starting Over”. Combine that with the fact that Grace has aged about 12 years, and you might come to the right conclusion.
Here’s the official synopsis of the series:
“Good Witch” will take viewers on a new magical journey with Cassie Nightingale and her bright, young-teenage daughter Grace, who shares her mom’s special intuitive charm. When Dr. Sam Radford and his teenage son move in next door to Grey House, they are immediately charmed by the “magical” mother-daughter duo and wonder is it really magic, a lucky coincidence or just a special intuitive insight only this family possesses? Based on the network’s most successful Original Movie franchise of all time, “Good Witch” will inspire with each intriguing episode and will have viewers immediately charmed by the quaint town of Middleton – which is in store for new changes, big surprises, and, of course, a little bit of magic!
Good Witch premieres with back-to-back episodes on Saturday, February 28 at 8/7c on Hallmark Channel.
