HART OF DIXIE: “The Very Good Bagel” {Recap}

As only pregnancy news can do, Wade waits outsides Zoe’s house to talk to her about it, but she never responds to his advances. That’s easy to forget though, when George and Levan are talking about what to do now that Henry has left Lemon and they want to confront her. Or it would be, if Wade didn’t just walk into Levan’s kitchen and explain his position. It’s more like a car crash, as Levan points out, but I have to give Wade some points for effort in trying to make sure he sounds right. Wade does as he always does and ruins it.

George and Levan are all set to tell Lemon what they feel when she tells them how awful the news leak about Henry has been for her: she has no check for Francy’s now and is ruined. To avoid Lemon hearing about that, though, they agree to help Dash with some elderly ladies and a Pride and Prejudice weekend. It’s as bad as it sounds.

AB, Cricket and Lemon all moan how awful life is for all of them right now and decide they want to relive their high school days and get on the right track. George still has that lake house and so Lemon horrible asks for the details so she and all the girls can go up there. Girls’ Weekend looks like all the fun they’d imagined, until Cricket locks the door and they’re without a place to sleep. Lemon calls George and he goes to get her back into the house. Then they’re all back in the house, Crickett and AB are drunk so Levan takes them home. That leaves George and Lemon alone to clean up.

Will a date between Wade and Zoe ever turn out to be a good idea? He’s planning on proposing, but Zoe runs off to New York City to avoid that. At least in NYC, Zoe can admit that she loves Wade and that that fact complicates everything else. There’s one party in her mother’s weekend plan where everyone at the party is there as a way for Zoe to move back into NYC life without a problem – a realtor, a pre-school director, a post-pregnancy plastic surgeon and lastly Wade. Wade who admits he wants to try things again, without proposing. But will it be enough? Seems like it is, though.

Will AB regret her drunken love confession to Levan later? Just as Lemon’s idea of the two of them being perfect won’t help either of them move on. At least George admits to everything he did before now and how he’s not in love with Lemon of today, but the Lemon of the past. But what is going to happen between AB and Lemon now that AB still loves Levan and Lemon knows Levan came to the dock with George to profess his love.
