When Calls the Heart – This is another book adaptation – this time from Canadian authoress Janette Oke – made for the small screen that won over hearts (no pun intended) in January of this year. I’ve been watching Hallmark’s made-for-TV movies adapted from Ms. Oke’s “Love Comes Softly” book series for a number of years now, and was really looking forward to this new drama. It did not disappoint, bringing with it a message of good old-fashioned values and a more simple way of life. Having a handsome Canadian Mountie in the show doesn’t hurt either.
