FOREVER: We sit down with Ioan Gruffudd at New York Comic Con {Video}
Forever, the new show about a medical examiner cursed with immortality (Ioan Gruffudd) and the police detective (Alana De La Garza) that he helps solve crimes, premiered this fall on ABC. The show is a lot of fun and has a bit of a Castle/Elementary vibe, if the male character in each died frequently but couldn’t stay dead. The show films in New York City and was represented at New York Comic Con this past weekend by its two leads and the creator, Matt Miller, at both a press room and a panel.
We got you the equivalent of front row seats in the press room when we sat down to chat with the very charming Ioan.
Some highlights:
- We talked about the relationship between his character, Henry Morgan, and his adopted son on the show (who appears to be much older than Henry and often acts in a more maternal role)
- We will get to see some of the more spectacular deaths in flashbacks this season
- He’d love to see flashbacks of his character in the 60s and 80s – bell bottoms, beads, a mullet (so would we, Ioan, so would we…)
