A SNOW GLOBE CHRISTMAS: Shaking Things Up for a Cynical Heart
Who doesn’t love a beautiful snow globe? If it’s a Christmas one it can mesmerize children and remind adults of simpler times, and daydreams of Santa, sweet treats and family gatherings. In A Snow Globe Christmas Megan (Alicia Witt) sees the perfect little world captured inside her snow globe and compares it to her real life, which is anything but perfect.
Megan is a TV executive who is trying to put together the perfect Christmas film. It’s Christmas Eve and being the Scrooge that she is, no one is allowed to go home until her perfect film is completed. In a fit of frustration, she throws her snow globe to the floor hoping to break it but it bounces up and smacks her in the head, knocking her out.
Megan wakes up in the very same town that was inside the snow globe, married to her college ex, with two children and a stranger that keeps popping up at just the right moments. In her search for the way back to her real life, she learns some valuable lessons about family, love and friendships that last.
Alicia Witt is adorable as Megan. She seemed to melt into this role as though she was reliving a memory of her own. Donald Faison plays Ted, Megan’s former sweetheart, and he brings a fun bundle of humor to the movie. He and Witt played off of each other so well, it felt as though they were long time friends from way back. Christina Milian plays the angel that’s orchestrating Megan’s adventure. She adds a holiday sparkle to the cast that’s the perfect touch of magic for the story.
I enjoyed A Snow Globe Christmas very much and I hope you will too.
A Snow Globe Christmas premieres Saturday, December 14 at 10/9c on Lifetime.
