FULL CIRCLE: Keke Palmer Talks Conflicting Emotions

By  |

DirecTV’s new series, Full Circle by playwright Neil LaBute, depicts a series of dinners at an LA restaurant featuring different diners who end up all being connected. Each episode centers on two characters and the tangled drama of their relationship. One of them returns with another character in the following episode to reveal a whole new aspect of the riveting story. What happens when it all comes full circle?

In the second episode last week, we all met Chan’Dra Stevens (Keke Palmer), who’s brother died after an offensive comment made by Jace (David Boreanaz). In their meeting, the two constantly fight as Chan’Dra tries to show Jace the ramifications of his actions. Tensions run high.

In her episode this week, Chan’Dra has a date with a schoolmate, Cliff, which explores a very different side from the confident meal she had with Jace. In the episode, she spends time pressuring Cliff on the details that surrounded her brother’s death while also coming to understand her feelings for him.

NGTV was invited to the set to visit with the cast, and interviewed Keke about her audition process along with the process of filming her episodes. Much of the interview focuses on her work with Boreanaz, and the way it was acting opposite such highly respected colleagues. She also discusses working with Boreanaz and trying to reconcile her fannish memories with her professional one.

Come back next week to see the interview with Kate Walsh, where she discusses her episode husband, Trent, and piano player, Peter, as well as her episode with Robbie, one of her students.
