RIZZOLI & ISLES Star Lee Thompson Young Found Dead at 29

Lee Thompson Young, who played Detective Barry Frost on Rizzoli & Isles, was found dead in his apartment today of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot.

Just 29, Young had a solid string of credits including Disney Channel’s The Famous Jett Jackson, and guest roles in Scrubs, FlashForward, and Smallville (where he played Cyborg). He also co-starred in the big screen version of Friday Night Lights.

Here at NGTV, we knew him best as Frost, the young detective partnered with Angie Harmon’s Rizzoli. Our hearts go out to Young’s friends and family as well as his fans.
