BONES at Comic Con: A Marriage Proposal and First Look at Season 9 [Video]

Emily Deschanel, David Boreanaz and Hart Hanson took to the stage at Comic Con for the “Bones” panel and Melissa was there with her nimble fingers to tweet the play-by-play. As is usually the case with this panel, things generally start out pretty calmly and then quickly deteriorate into hysteria and confusion and 2 inch-long hair.

Hart confessed to not really liking serial killers and dropped a few spoilers on the audience in spite of himself.

Here are the highlights from that panel:

• Boreanez just asked Emily to marry him…or rather Booth asked Bones. She said yes;
  
• They’re reenacting scenes from the finale, except with Emily as Booth and David as Bones;
• Emily deepened her voice, then made David raise his a few octaves. David getting all emotional reading Bones’ proposal. Hilarious!
• David misreads Bones’ line ‘why are all these women wearing white dresses when they aren’t vegans?’ Emily: ‘Virgins, not vegans!’
• Hart reveals that Booth & Bones will ‘definitely get married this season.’
• Seasons begins filming on Tuesday (July 23);
• Emily chastises David for getting tired while she’s talking about Bones, so when he starts talking she exaggerates falling asleep;
• Hart: ‘Pelant will last as long as he’s interesting.’
• What would Booth say to Pelant if he were in the audience? David cites no profanity rule as his answer;

• Question to Hart: Do you have in mind how Pelant is going to die? Hart: Yes. Oh $&?#! I always tell them not to give anything away!
• Talking about death, how they want to be disposed of. I’m not sure why;
• David wants to be cremated and his ashes scattered on a hockey rink. He has quite a fantasy about this;
• Is it hard for you to fight as your characters? Emily deadpans, ‘No, not at all. Very easy in fact’;
• Hart wants the next Squintern to be someone in a wheelchair who is unbearable;
• Fan: What character would Emily be in the Angel universe? Emily: I would be immortal, let’s just start there;
• Will Sweets get back with Daisy? Hart answers, ‘I don’t want to tell you. Both are still on the show, but you have to watch to find out’;
• Fan is freaking out about getting to ask a question. David starts freaking out that he gets to talk to her;

• Second episode of season 9 is an undercover ep. Emily & David are happy with this news. They go undercover to a couples retreat. David less excited now;
• Emily to David: ‘You have 2-inch hair’. See? Random.
• Hart wants to do an episode with the characters as teens doing their jobs at the Jeffersonian. Did I mention randomness?
• We’ve now devolved into a discussion of Zack Addy, his whereabouts, what the actor is doing now, how good he is at dancing ( I swear, it’s like we’re at a tea party here!);
• What foreign location would they like to film in? Everywhere, judging by the number of suggestions being thrown out by cast;
• If they could play any other character on the show, who would it be? David chooses Caroline. Emily chooses Booth;
• Hart says when the tv show ends, they will talk about a Bones movie.
