Comic Con

Flashback to San Diego Comic Con 2012

By  |

By this time next week San Diego will have already closed down roads in the Gaslamp District and other areas surrounding the convention center. People from all over the world will be arriving at their hotels and checking in for their badges as the 2013 Comic Con prepares to open.

This year is not our first buggy ride around the Comic Con block. NiceGirlsTV have been attending SDCC for the last five years. We’ve collected so many great memories, met so many wonderful people, chatted with loads of talent in the industry. We’ve made new friends, met people we’ve only known online and partied till we dropped. We’ve been dehydrated, sleep-deprived and starved for four awesometacular days. It was all totally worth it. And every year, as we board our transportation home, with a collective sigh we murmur “I’m not doing this again next year.” We lie to ourselves as part of our efforts to get back to the reality of our day-to-day lives. However as soon as the email announcements, press, interview and party invitations start appearing in our inboxes, the excitement begins to build once again.

As we make our packing lists and check them twice and thrice those memories from past Comic Cons flood back. We’d like to share all of those with you as we prepare NiceGirlsTV.com for all the goodness that will pour forth from this year’s Con.

Last year’s San Diego Comic Con was a first for a few of our Nice Girls. Leah met her heartthrob Eric Balfour at the Syfy party, took some great photos from the floor of the exhibit hall and grabbed pictures of people dressed up in their favorite character costume. NBC’s “Revolution” debuted last year and was a huge presence at the Con. Check out the picture of the unused ferris wheel that took up an entire street corner across from the convention center!

Nice Girl Cay tackled some press rooms and came away with first time experiences she’ll never forget. And Mynda, camera in hand and adrenaline running high, learned the art of maneuvering through the crowds for a great seat as she braved the most popular panels.

Take a look back with us now as we present our SDCC flashbacks over the next week leading up to San Diego Comic Con 2013.
