June Brides: Famous TV Brides
June is the most popular month for weddings because it’s just about time for summer to burst into color with fresh blooming flowers, blue summer skies and temperatures that are not too hot yet and not too cold. It’s perfect. It also makes me think of all the weddings we’ve seen in television over the years.
I have 12 of my favorite brides on the list and I know there are some omissions, but I figure I’ll leave that open for all of you to suggest.
I have to begin with my all time favorite brides, Jane and Elizabeth Bennet from [easyazon-link asin=”B00364K6YW”]Pride and Prejudice[/easyazon-link]. Their journeys to the alter were anything but smooth and clear cut, but in the end they both got their men.
Everyone held their breath when Lorelei Gilmore found her perfect wedding dress in which she would marry Luke on [easyazon-link asin=”B000U0F7RG”]Gilmore Girls[/easyazon-link]. It didn’t quite happen that way, but the dress was killer!
It was the dream that spawned countless fanfictions. [easyazon-link asin=”B0046XG48O”]Buffy the Vampire Slayer[/easyazon-link] and Angel.
Who could forget the highly anticipated wedding between [easyazon-link asin=”B000H6SXMY”]Friends[/easyazon-link]Chandler Bing and Monica Gellar? How many years did it take for them to get there?
Though it wasn’t the high profile wedding she had before, Charlotte’s marriage to Harry was the perfect one on [easyazon-link asin=”B003Z8ZCG6″]Sex & The City[/easyazon-link].
Four years in the making, we finally see Sarah and [easyazon-link asin=”B009GYS73S”]Chuck[/easyazon-link]tie the knot.
Though this was the second wedding for the couple, this was the one that stuck. Ellie and Devin walk down the – well, beach on “Chuck”.
After five seasons, Pam and Jim say “I do” on The Office.
While we love watching our favorite sweet couples marry, sometimes the bad guys have a go at it, even it is only for convenience. Rebecca and Alec marry on “The Lying Game”, but it soon becomes clear that they are only creating a smoke screen for their own individual reasons.
Another much anticipated wedding takes place between Meredith and Derek on the popular Shonda Rhimes series “Grey’s Anatomy”.
Who could forget the moment when Niles finally marries Daphne on [easyazon-link asin=”B0001NBNJ8″]Frasier[/easyazon-link]? He’d only been pining for her for ages.
In probably the funniest wedding scene I’ve ever watched, Amy and Robert try to make it magical – if only his mother weren’t there. Everybody Loves Raymond‘s Robert and Amy had the best ‘first dance as husband and wife” and the most fun. Elvis, baby!
