Style Story: HART OF DIXIE’s Lemon Breeland

I covet Lemon Breeland’s wardrobe. There, I said it. All those vintage-inspired dresses, those perfectly coordinated jackets and cardigans, the adorable accessories, the drool-worthy shoes…I want them all.

Fictional Bluebell, Alabama, must have the best selection of vintage dress shops and seamstresses in the country, because the women of Bluebell all seem to have an endless array of beautiful attire from a bygone era. Either that, or they order from ModCloth in bulk. Whatever the source, Queen Bee Lemon Breeland is the leader of this ladylike pack. One of the delights of this charming show is tuning in to see what Lemon is wearing this week, contrasted sharply by Zoe Hart’s urban, minimalist wardrobe. In the first of our new series highlighting signature fashion in today’s TV shows, we’ve created a few collages featuring Lemon Breeland and her signature style via Polyvore.

Hallmarks of Lemon’s style include dresses and skirts of conservative length and cut, flowers and bows, cardigans, drop earrings, slim belts, and coordinating accessories in her lemon yellow hair. Lemon is always perfectly put together from head to toe, bordering on prim but never stepping over into matronly or twee.
