NICE BOY OF THE WEEK: Travis Fimmel
This week our Nice Boy is Travis Fimmel. Born in Australia on a dairy farm he left for Melbourne in his late teens to play professional AFL Football but a broken leg sidelined him.
While in Melbourne he was discovered by a talent scout and headed to LA where he was signed on the spot. He became the first male model in the world to secure a six-figure deal for a one year exclusive with Calvin Klein. It has been suggested that he was the inspiration for the Sex and the City character Smith Jerrod. With his charisma and stunning looks it’s not hard to believe that’s true.
Fimmel spent two years with an acting coach before auditioning for his first role. He went on to land the title in Warner Bros. TV series Tarzan. Travis also stared alongside Patrick Swayze in what would be Patrick’s final role, the A&E TV series The Beast.
He has also acted in movies with a number of recognizable names from Forest Whitaker in The Experiment to Billy Bob Thornton in The Baytown Outlaws. One of his staring movie rolls was opposite Teresa Palmer (I Am Number Four) and Stephen Moyer (True Blood) in Restraint.
It wasn’t long before he again landed the lead role in a TV series. This time in History channels Vikings.
If you want to see Travis and his pretty blue eyes on TV he is currently appearing in Vikings on Sunday 10/9 on History.
