DON’T TRUST THE B– Recap: Sexy People

By  |

June’s obsession with the People’s Sexist Man Alive amuses me, especially once Chloe takes all of June’s old ones and turns them into papier mache. The fact that she talks to her mother about the reasons why Channing Tatum should be on the cover is amusing. Poor James enters into the conversation at that moment is a bit sad. But I feel for James not being sexy enough to be part of People, especially when June goes on to list so many people men that she finds sexy compared to James.

Chloe’s got a good point about June being a People sheep, and there’s a very real part of me that is worried about this plan of Chloe’s. That worries confirmed when she can fire three people just after walking into the room and scaring everyone else in the office into stunned silence.

Getting a mock-People in a day is impressive, Chloe. If James is really on the cover, I do really worry for June now. The ideas of what Chloe is going to put into the magazine are giving me all the second-hand emotions on June’s behalf. She’s just such a fangirl at the moment in ways that are not usually very June-esque.

June, you did not just put on lipstick on to see James in your bedroom. But then James goes and ruins his shirt and his chest and now he’s put on a tiny towel to send June into a fit. Even the unflattering photos of James did nothing to stop June’s blue tubes (if that is supposed to be the equivalent of blue balls then the show is on fire).

Mark does has a point about if James is just getting to June because he can or if he means it.

This episode has just crossed over into The Devel Wears Prada details where we realize that fashion and the work of those magazines has a deep influence on our lives.

Luther nearly killed Stephanie in a fit to tell James that Varsity Blues was on TV. June’s tirade about wanting to have sex with James is killed when James kisses her with no reason.

Marjorie failed to like Chloe idea about James on the cover, but he does still get a small spread in the issue.

This tag is precious with James worrying about the horse.

But what I really want to know is: who made the cover?

Roz lives in the Los Angeles area, and has been a long time California girl. Despite her better judgment, she enjoys shows about the shallow sides of her home city, but will also find time to watch iZombie, Jane the Virgin, and much more. With a love of history, she also watches anything that is grounded in real life, including Victoria and black-ish. Having worked with children, she also follows shows she knows they watch (reminding her of those days of yore for her in the process). Contact her at roz@nicegirlstv.com.
