ALPHAS Recap: Need to Know

By  |

Alphas is in its final push to the season finale and they aren’t playing around.

Bill and his wife are walking outside with their Alpha foster child when there is an explosion.
In the office John is showing everyone that it is the sixth power grid attack. Parrish is really up to something big. In two days it is October 22nd, which is 150 years to the day sine Stanton has known he is an Alpha. It’s a sick anniversary celebration of sorts.

The team is also looking for Skylar, she’s hard to find though. While this is going on Rosen wants John to transfer Mitchell from Building 7 to a hospital psychiatric ward where they can dig deeper into Mitchell’s stored Stanton Parrish memories.

Stanton and his band of Alphas are at a big warehouse facility. They have a hundred or so beds lined up and Stanton is agitated. He wants to know what is taking Vincent so long to get what they need from Skylar. So that’s not good.

Rosen sits down in the office to talk with Bill; he thinks he has an alternative to all of this. An unofficial plan he thinks might work. Bill tells Rosen he needs to play with everyone nicely or get out of everyone’s way. It looks like Rosen doesn’t care for Bill’s opinion and he tells Hicks to go ahead with the plan anyway.

Kat and John are in a convoy transporting Mitchell when Fire Hands Alpha attacks. The bad Alphas grab Mitchell and take off. They get away. So again, that’s not good.

Mitchel is at the warehouse facility with Stanton being dechipped. Stanton looks really happy to see Mitchell. Stanton touches Mitchell and he gets nothing. None of Stanton’s memories are there. Rosen eased them…all of them.

Rosen rendezvous with Nina, Hicks and Rachel. They are the ones that captured Fire Alpha. They have him all tied up. Have I said that’s not good? Well in this case not good for Fire Alpha. Rosen is trying to reason with Fire Alpha, it’s not working. It’s Nina’s turn, she pushes Fire Alpha about the shipments Stanton has been receiving, but he doesn’t know where they are. When she pushes about Stanton’s whereabouts she comes up against a block. Fire Alpha seems pretty darn smug about having that block in place but then Rachel steps up and puts something into his IV, for a moment Fire Alpha looks worried and then he giggles like his is high.

In the office the next morning Bill and Kat are talking. She is upset about losing Mitchell and the bad Alphas. She says she can’t get ahold of any of the rest of the team.
Gary is in the office though, he figured it out, he found Skylar. He pinged the chip in her arm. At Skylar’s apartment Vince is there and it looks like he has some sort of power over Skylar, she just wants to make Vince happy. Then Vince meets up with Stanton who is more agitated. In fact he is downright rude to Vince and tells him to keep Skylar focused and get him that devise.

The team is still questioning Fire Alpha with no luck. Rachel thinks they need help but she is over ruled. Rosen even goes farther and gives Nina a stimulant to boost her ability. They are really going to extremes to get this information. Even with the boost Nina can’t break through.

Bill needs Gary to look for Rosen but he says they are all off line. Kat shows up to give Bill a tranq dart, one of theirs that was at the scene where Fire Alpha was taken.

Skylar is still working on her project when she burns her hand, except she can’t feel it, it doesn’t hurt at all. She starts to realize something is wrong. She hears her chip pinging again and sends Gary a message.

Rosen’s next idea was to get Fire Alpha’s girlfriend out of Building 7. She is beat up but she is asking about Stanton. Fire Alpha gets her to come closer and asks her something personal. She answers incorrectly and he head-butts her. She falls to the ground and changes into Nina. Now that was a fun trick.
Nina doesn’t look very good at all. Fire Alpha starts to mess with Stanton by talking about Danni. It does not go over very well. Rosen grabs some meds and asks if Fire Alpha wonders what it feels like to burn to death. It’s actually adrenaline and it triggers his ability. Rosen puts the whole syringe into Fire Alpha who starts to burn and smoke. His screaming is not pleasant. Rachel is actually sick and says she can’t stay there. Nina looks completely worn out and Hicks looks just pissed.

Skylar, having sent the message to Gary is grabbing some things. She says she is leaving when Vince gets there. She tries to set Vince on fire, but it doesn’t work. He says things about being nice in this nice place. He then makes every door to every room look the same and starts an electrical like storm. He says there is no way out unless she does what she is told. Turns out she is in a bed with an IV drip holding onto Vince’s hand and he is repeating things to her. Her apartment is all an illusion, his Alpha ability at work on Skylar.

Mitchell is meeting with Stanton; he thinks people might want to know what Stanton is feeling after the world changes tomorrow. Stanton grabs Mitchell’s hand and transfers his feelings.

Unfortunately Bill and Kat are outside where Rosen is keeping Fire Alpha, in fact Rachel called them. She couldn’t let them go this far. Nina stays with Rachel while Rosen and Hicks take off. They put Fire Alpha in an ambulance and are ready to leave when Gary shows up. He knows where Skylar is. Gary and Bill get to the building where they are keeping Skylar. They manage to handcuff Vince and rescue Skylar and Zoe. She told Stanton she wasn’t going to work for him so he kidnapped her.

Hicks and Rosen apparently got what they needed from Fire Alpha because they show up at the warehouse full of beds. It’s Parrish’s disaster relief center for Alphas after the world changes. Hicks and Parrish find all sorts of plans, grids and graphs. It seems a little too simple, is that wrong?
Rosen gives Hicks all of the paperwork they find and sends him to the office to alert the team, leaving Rosen there to keep going through stuff.

In the office Skylar is going over what she built for Stanton. Mini photo simulators was what she was working on. They boost Alpha abilities but they kill non Alphas. I hate to repeat myself AGAIN but that can’t be good. There were hundreds of thousands, millions of them distributed.

Rosen sees Parrish walking through the warehouse; he pulls out a gun and follows him. Stanton is in a car so Parrish starts to steal a car and follow after when one of the Alphas shoots at him. Rosen is hit and it’s not just a flesh wound.
In keeping with the theme of this episode…well that can’t be good.
