Community – NBC 8/7c
“Horror Fiction in Seven Spooky Steps” – When Britta (Gillian Jacobs) runs anonymous personality tests on everyone for a psychology class, one of the test results seems to indicate that someone in the group is deeply disturbed. At the group’s Halloween pre-party, she enlists Jeff (Joel McHale) to help draw out the potential sociopath and the two of them lure everyone into telling their favorite horror stories.

Parks & Recreation – NBC  8:30/7:30c
“Meet n Greet” – Ben (Adam Scott) is mad when Andy (Chris Pratt) and April (Aubrey Plaza) decide to throw a Halloween party at their house without asking him. Tom (Aziz Ansari) emcees an event for Leslie’s (Amy Poehler) campaign but manages to also promote his company. Meanwhile, Ron (Nick Offerman) and Ann (Rashida Jones) give Andy and April an unusual wedding present.

The Vampire Diaries – the CW 8/7c
“Ghost World” – As Mystic Falls prepares to celebrate the traditional Illumination Night, the town is invaded by spirits of the dead. After a particularly violent encounter with an angry spirit, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) asks Bonnie (Kat Graham) to find the reason behind the ghosts’ surprising power. Elena (Nina Dobrev) convinces Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) to use his connection to the other side to help her find a new way to reach Stefan (Paul Wesley), leading Jeremy to a terrible choice. Finally, Alaric (Matt Davis) discovers a long-hidden clue to the past.

Person of Interest – CBS 9/8c
“The Fix” – Reese is captivated by their newest POI – a beautiful, shrewd and remarkably resourceful woman.

Whitney – NBC 9:30/8:30c
“The Wire” – Whitney positions a hidden camera in the apartment to prove to Alex that he has a high-and-mighty attitude. Meanwhile, a sibling rivalry is reawakened when Alex’s brother (Ken Marino) arrives.

The Secret Circle – the CW 9/8c
“Masked” – Deciding the Circle needs to have a little fun, Faye (Phoebe Tonkin) convinces Cassie (Britt Robertson) to throw a big Halloween party. Intent on wooing Jake (guest star Chris Zylka) back, Faye goes all out on her Halloween costume. After a fight with Diana (Shelley Hennig), Adam (Thomas Dekker) turns to Cassie for advice. Meanwhile, some dangerous, uninvited guests set their sights on the Circle.

The Mentalist – CBS 10/9c
“Where in the World Is Carmine O’Brien” – When the CBI team travels to a resort town to find out who murdered a police chief, Lisbon crosses paths with her brother Tommy, now a bounty hunter, who’s tracking a bail jumper.

Prime Suspect – NBC 10/9c
“Regrets, I’ve Had a Few” – When a young woman shows up dead in the park, Jane (Maria Bello) immediately goes to Lt. Sweeney (Aidan Quinn) to ask for manpower. Duffy (Brian F. O’Byrne) and Evrard (Damon Gupton) feverishly search for the murdered woman’s stepfather after he suddenly disappears. Meanwhile, Jane and her father (Peter Gerety) celebrate an important anniversary together.
