Heading to Comic Con 2011

By  |

Tomorrow morning I will be making my annual trek, along with a group of friends, to San Diego for Comic Con 2011. As most people know by now, Comic Con is one of the largest pop culture-based conventions in the world, admitting over 130,000 attendees inside the doors of the San Diego Convention Center each year (for at least the last 5 years now).

Once again, I am proud to be part of the press covering the event and will be working along with the rest of the NiceGirls to provide you with as much coverage of the big event as possible.

There are a lot of great panels planned this year for television and movies among many other genres. You can see the daily schedules here.

Among the numerous panels being held over the 4-days for which I am most excited to attend include: Covert Affairs, Psych, Ringer, The Nine Lives of Chloe King, Falling Skies, Alphas, Chuck, Homeland, The Secret Circle, Sanctuary, Castle and Merlin.

Those panels, of course, are far from the only ones being held over the next 5 days, as shows such as Eureka, Torchwood: Miracle Day, Doctor Who, Warehouse 13, Terra Nova, Being Human and many, many others will be in the spotlighted at the convention.

Unfortunately, some of the best panels are planned at the same time being held either in the huge – and now legendary – Hall H, which holds about 6,500 attendees or in Ballroom 20, which holds about 4,000 attendees. The difficulty is deciding which panels to attend and which ones have to be skipped.

Thankfully, NiceGirlsTV has a great staff that is able to cover as much as possible at this year’s Comic Con, providing our readers will coverage from a wide range of panels and press rooms.

Please note that because of the convention my weekly round-up of entertainment news for this week will be delayed until next week, but the weekly TV calendars will be up on time.

Until next week!
