OZ COMIC-CON Sydney 2019: Guests To Be On The Lookout For

By  |

NOTE: This article has been updated on September 25 after it was announced that Osric Chau will no longer be appearing at Oz Comic-Con Sydney due to booking a new role.

A plethora of familiar faces are currently in Australia as Oz Comic-Con Brisbane wraps up this weekend and then Oz Comic-Con Sydney takes place next weekend. With a new venue in Sydney this year at the Sydney Showgrounds at Olympic Park and some seriously big named talents, we’re excited for this year’s event. Some of the guests that will be present at Oz Comic-Con Sydney from September 28-29 include…

Hayley Atwell

Yep, Peggy Carter herself is part of the line-up for this year’s Sydney event! AGENT CARTER is still one of the Nice Girls’ most beloved shows, so we’re looking forward to hearing about Atwell’s experiences on the show and in the MCU, including Disney +’s upcoming WHAT IF. Atwell has also been announced as appearing in the next MISSION IMPOSSIBLE film alongside Tom Cruise – she really is killing it right now!

Jason Dohring

It’s no secret that the Nice Girls are major VERONICA MARS fans and that the man behind Logan Echolls is a major fave. Will seeing him in the flesh help ease the pain of the VERONICA MARS finale? We’re not sure, but we’d never pass up the opportunity to see him and are also interested to hear how he’ll move on from the show and what’s up next. Not a VERONICA MARS fan? Dohring’s other credits include IZOMBIE, SUPERNATURAL and THE ORIGINALS, just to name a few.

KJ Apa

Before season four of RIVERDALE starts up, leading man KJ Apa, aka Archie Andrews will be in town. What teases about the new season will he be divulging? Do he and the rest of the cast think that some of the show’s storylines are as insane as we do? Apa also has a couple of films under his belt including THE HATE U GIVE, A DOG’S PURPOSE, Netflix’s THE LAST SUMMER, and the upcoming I STILL BELIEVE.

Aisha Tyler

WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY, CRIMINAL MINDS, ARCHER, THE TALK, FRIENDS and GHOST WHISPERER – they’re just some of Aisha Tyler’s career highlights. We know her as an actress and host, but did you know that she is also a director, author, podcaster and entrepreneur?

Keiynan Lonsdale

Keiynan Lonsdale is coming home! Long before he was Wally West/Kid Flash on THE FLASH and DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW, or even before he was Uriah in the DIVERGENT films, Lonsdale was best known for his role as Ollie on the series DANCE ACADEMY. He’s certainly come along way since then, not only playing a superhero in the Arrowverse, but also starring in the critically acclaimed film LOVE, SIMON and working on his music career. What is next for this multi-talented star? We can’t wait to find out!

Dominique Provost-Chalkley

Are we ever going to get new episodes of WYNONNA EARP? We may not have an answer anytime soon, but we look forward to hearing stories from set from Provost-Chalkley, AKA Waverly!

Michael Eklund

It’s a double WYNONNA EARP affair, with Michael Eklund AKA Bobo joining co-star Dominique Provost-Chalkley in a joint Earpers panel over the weekend! Eklund also appears in ALTERED CARBON, DIRK GENTLY’S HOLISTIC DETECTIVE AGENCY, GOTHAM, BATE’S MOTEL and CONTINUUM just to name a few of his credits.

Luke Baines

SHADOWHUNTERS may have ended earlier this year, but we haven’t forgotten about it. Nor have we forgotten the show’s villain Johnathan Morgenstern, played by Luke Baines. Since the show ended, Luke has appeared in the films UNDER THE SILVER LAKE and A DARK PLACE.
