Nice Boy of the Week: David Lyons

Australia brings us another talented actor and the focus of this week’s Nice Boy.

David Lyons stars in NBC’s newest original series, The Cape, premiering this Sunday, January 9th. Vince Faraday (Lyons) has lost his job, his family, his home and his life, and is wrongly accused of crimes he did not commit. In an attempt to find the person who framed him and clear his name, he assumes the identity of his son’s favorite super hero, The Cape.

“ER” fans will recognize Lyons as Dr. Simon Brenner in the final season of the show. Before that he starred in the hit Australian series, “Sea Patrol”. Lyons was seen in a cameo appearance opposite Julia Roberts in “Eat, Pray, Love” and starred starred in the made-for-televion movie “A Model Daughter: The Killing of Caroline Byrne”.

Lyons has performed on stage for both The Sydney Theatre Company in “A Hard God” and the Melbourne Theatre Company in “Cyrano De Bergerac.”
