Nice Boys

Nice Boy of the Week: Tim Roth

By  |

This week’s Nice Boy is a little late getting posted due to this Nice Girl’s busy schedule. I promise it will be worth the wait, though, when I introduce our new Nice Boy, Tim Roth.

Roth is currently starring in the Fox hit series, Lie To Me, as Dr. Cal Lightman, a scientist who studies facial expressions, body language, voice and words to discover if someone is lying and why. He is best known for his roles in the American films Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Four Rooms, Planet of the Apes, The Incredible Hulk and Rob Roy, for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, as well as a Golden Globe nomination, and won a BAFTA. Roth received nominations for Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor and the MTV Movie Award for Best Villain, in the 2001 Planet of the Apes.

For his directorial debut in 1999, Roth’s film, The War Zone, a film that takes a blunt look at incest and sexual violence in an English family, won nine awards and ten nominations.

We’re proud to add Tim’s name to our extinguished list of Nice Boys.

Liz is a wife and mother of three from the Nashville area who likes being able to discuss her favorite TV shows with adults sometimes. She is addicted to the Sookie Stackhouse novels and was a huge fan of the HBO series based on the books, True Blood. Her other favorite shows include Chuck, Grimm, Pretty Little Liars, Blindspot, Heroes Reborn, The Goldbergs, Sleepy Hollow, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter, just to name a few.
