Despite the constant assertion at NYCC last week that V would return in November, ABC has just announced that they’re pushing back the season 2 premiere to January 4. Why the change? First, ABC has a couple of reality specials they want to air during sweeps (whatevs). Second, they’re premiering V after No Ordinary Family, which seems like a good pairing. That creates a genre block on Tuesday nights, anchored by the strongly performing NOF. And third, ABC announced a few days ago that they were also shifting the premiere of Dana Delaney’s Body of Evidence to January so they could put more promotion behind it. Reading between the lines, I have to wonder if the network is planning a big push behind V at the same time. Two female-centric series being promoted in tandem? Sounds like a good strategy to me.
