Nice Boy of the Week: Zach Roerig

Fresh off of our New York Comic Con adventure, we came home with even more Nice Boys to add to our very long list. We’ll start with Zach Roerig, currently playing Matt Donovan on The Vampire Diaries.

Soap opera fans know Zach as Casey Hughes on As the World Turns, Hunter Atwood on One Life to Live. He’s also been spotted on Law & Order, Reba, and as Cash on Friday Night Lights.

Before Zach entered the acting profession he worked for his father and grandfather at Fackler Monuments making gravestones. He also played football and was on the wrestling team during high school.

Though he was rather quiet during the Vampire Diaries panel, and then later in the press room, we kind of get the feeling that if we could have gotten him away with a beverage of his choice in his hand, we could have had a fun and interesting conversation with him. Especially when he revealed his love for another Nice Girls favorite around here, True Blood.

He’s sweet and talented (a fellow Truebie!) and we couldn’t welcome a more worthy candidate for Nice Boy of the Week.
