They Deserve Their Own Show (Part 69)

After a year and a half and over 400 actors and actresses in the spotlight, the “They Deserve Their Own Show” series of articles will be coming to a close as of next Wednesday.

In the meantime, here is the next to the last segment of actors and actresses who are under-appreciated, deserving of more attention or perhaps even their own show:

Lori Heuring

Lori Heuring – Lori got her start in small roles in episodes of Walker, Texas Ranger, Ellen and 7th Heaven. She later appeared in an episode of Early Edition and several episodes of Alias as well as guest starring in the short lived shows To Have & To Hold and Legacy. She appeared in the box offices movie Mulholland Dr., Anger Management, Run Away Jury and Prom Night. More recently she appeared in an episode of the short lived series Mental and was seen in a couple episodes of The Gates. She has two upcoming projects: Cross and Just Go With It.

Jessica Parker Kennedy

Jessica Parker Kennedy – Jessica got started in the made-for-TV movie Santa Baby with Jenny McCarthy and then moved on to the made-for-TV movie Another Cinderella Story. She appeared in the short-lived TV series Valemont after which she guest starred in an episode of V (the new 2009 version) and the made-for-TV movie Santa Baby 2. Most recently she was seen in three episodes of Smallville. She has three projects in the works, including Behemoth, Fairly Legal and Live With It.

Sara Rue

Sara Rue – Sara started out as a child actor in the TV show Grand, then appeared in an episode of Roseanne, Blossom and several episodes of the short-lived series Phenom. She guest starred in episodes of Ned and Stacey, Chicago Hope, Will & Grace and the movie Can’t Hardly Wait. She got her first taste of real attention in the WB series Popular before appearing in the movies Pearl Harbor and The Ring and several episodes of the TV series The Division. Her best known role was the popular comedy Less Than Perfect. More recently she appeared in the made-for-TV movie Nightmare at the End of the Hall, episodes of Leverage, The Big Bang Theory and Private Practice as well as a recurring role in the short-lived series Eastwick. Besides being the new spokesperson for Jenny Craig, she also has two upcoming projects: For Christ’s Sake and Dorfman.

Craig Bierko

Craig Bierko – Craig made his first TV appearance in an episode of Our House then appeared in Newhart, Guns of Paradise and The Young & the Restless. He next appeared in episodes of Wings, Empty Nest and Murphy Brown. Later on he guest starred in Mad About You, Ally McBeal and Sex and the City. More recently he has appeared in Boston Legal, Nip/Tuck, The Good Wife, Damages and The League. His movie roles include The Thirteenth Floor, Kate & Leopold, Cinderella Man and Scary Movie 4. He has one upcoming project called The Medium.

Conrad Coates

Conrad Coates – Some of his first work was in the box office movie To Die For and the made-for-TV movie The Pretender: Island of the Haunted and several episodes of La Femme Nikita. Before guest starring in 1-800-Missing, Kevin Hill and Slings and Arrows. He then guest starred in episodes of Painkiller Jane, Smallville and the short-lived remake of Bionic Woman before starring in the short-lived series The Dresden Files and the made-for-TV movie Christmas Caper with Shannen Doherty. He also appeared in numerous episodes of Kyle XY and made a guest appearance in Reaper. He was also seen in the made-for-TV movie Come Dance at My Wedding and the box office movie Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief as well as episodes of Fringe, Unnatural History, Covert Affairs and Warehouse 13.

Nolan Gerard Funk

Nolan Gerard Funk – Nolan’s first TV appearance was in an episode of Seven Days then he had small parts in the mini-series Taken and the box office movie X-Men 2. He then guest starred in Smallville and The L-Word as well as the made-for-TV movie A Girl Like Me: The Gwen Araujo Story. He appeared in episodes of  The Dead Zone, Supernatural, Lie To Me and Castle. He appeared in the made-for-TV movie Spectacular! and Jack’s Family Adventure. Most recently he was seen in a recurring role on Warehouse 13 (Claudia’s boyfriend who’s in witness protection). He has two current projects, including House at the End of the Street and Red Hot Charlie.
