They Deserve Their Own Show (Part 68)

Here is the next installment of actors and actresses who are under-appreciated, deserving of more attention or perhaps even their own show:

Danielle Savre

Danielle Savre – While Danielle is best known for her recurring role as the cheerleader nemesis to Claire in the first season of Heroes, she got her first big break on TV in an episode of The X-Files. She then appeared in episodes of Grounded For Life and Summerland. She also made guest appearances in shows such as Charmed, CSI, The Closer, Close to Home, CSI: Miami and Malcolm in the Middle. She had roles in the box office movies Bring It On: All or Nothing, In the Land of Women and Boogeyman 2.

Tessa Thompson

Tessa Thompson – Tessa appeared in an episode of Cold Case and had a role in the box office thriller When a Stranger Calls before landed a recurring role on Veronica Mars. She followed those up with appearances in the short-lived series Hidden Palms and guest roles in Grey’s Anatomy, Life, Mental and Private Practice. She had a small recurring role in Heroes and appeared in an episode of Three Rivers. She is expected to have a role in the mid-season series Off the Map and has four upcoming projects: South Dakota, Periphery, Red & Blue Marbles and For Colored Girls.

Karri Turner

Karri Turner – Karri is best known for her recurring role in the long-running hit series JAG, but she has also appeared in episodes of Suddenly Susan, Caroline in the City, Heroes, The X-Files and The Sarah Silverman Program. She also had a small part in the remake movie Get Smart and was the voice of Kathy Lee Gifford in an episode of South Park.

Johann Urb

Johann Urb – Johann got his start in a small role in the box office film Zoolander and then appeared in episodes of shows such as Miss Match, CSI: Miami, Entourage and Til Death. He appeared in the made-for-TV Love’s Long Journey and had a recurring role in the short-lived series The Mountain. He appeared in several episodes of Dirt and then had guest roles in One Tree Hill, the Knight Rider remake and was in the short-lived series Eastwick. He has been seen in the box office movies 2012, the made-for-TV movie A Gunfighter’s Pledge and has two upcoming projects: Pornstar and Dorfman.

Mik Vogel

Mike Vogel – Mike got his start in the box office movie Grind, then starred in the made-for-TV remake of Wuthering Heights (with Katherine Heigl) and the box office remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (with Jessica Biel). He had a recurring role in Grounded For Life before appearing in the movies Supercross, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Havoc, Rumor Has It and Poseidon. He followed all of these films with roles in Cloverfield, Open Graves (with Eliza Dushku) and She’s Out of My League. Most recently, he starred in the short-lived series Miami Medical and has one upcoming project: The Help.

Brian J. White

Brian J. White – Some of Brian’s earlier work was in episodes of Moesha, Felicity, The Parkers and the made-for-TV movie Nancy Drew with Maggie Lawson (Psych). He appeared in the box office movies The Family Stone, Stomp the Yard, Daddy’s Little Girls and The Game Plan. He also appeared in episodes of Ghost Whisperer, had a recurring role in the short-lived series Moonlight and appeared in a number of episodes of The Shield. More recently, he has been seen in episodes of Men of a Certain Age and the movies 12 Pounds and I Can Do Bad All By Myself. He will also be seen in the box office movie The Cabin in the Woods.
