They Deserve Their Own Show (Part 66)

Here is the next installment of actors and actresses who are under-appreciated, deserving of more attention or perhaps even their own show:

Lana Parrilla

Lana Parrilla – Lana’s first real TV role was on the comedy Spin City. She guest starred in episodes of JAG and The Shield as well as a recurring role on Boomtown. She then moved on to appearances in NYPD Blue and Six Feet Under, following those up with a recurring role in 24. Next up she appeared in the short-lived shows Windfall and Swingtown. Most recently she appeared in the short-lived medical drama Miami Medical and an episode of Covert Affairs.

Lindsay Price

Lindsay Price – Lindsay started out as a child actor, appearing in episodes of shows such as Airwolf, Hotel, Newhart, The Wonder Years, Life Goes On and Boy Meets World. During that time she also appeared in numerous episodes of The Bold & the Beautiful and All My Children. She is probably best known for her role in the original Beverly Hills, 90210 though. From there she appeared in the short-lived shows Jack & Jill and Coupling as well as episodes of CSI, Becker, The Mountain, Las Vegas and NCIS. More recently she appeared in the short-lived shows Pepper Dennis, Lipstick Jungle and Eastwick. Her current project is Who Gets the Parents with Jane Kaczmarek and Adam Arkin.

Kali Rocha

Kali Rocha – Best known for her recurring role as Halfrek in Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, prior to that Kali guest starred in Becker and Family Law as well as appearing in the box office movies White Oleander, Autumn in New York, The Crucible, Meet the Parents and The Object of My Affection as well as the made-for-TV movie When Billie Beat Bobby. She made guest appearances in episodes of Crossing Jordan, Will & Grace and Without a Trace. She also had roles in the box office movies Gods and Generals and Meet the Fockers. More recently she has been seen in episodes of Grey’s Anatomy, Bones, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Boston Legal and Monk. Her latest work was on the short-lived comedy Sherri.

Sebastian Roche

Sebastian Roche – Sebastian made his first big splash in the short-lived series Roar (which starred a then unknown Heath Ledger). He also appeared in the series Odyssey 5 and guest roles in CSI, Charmed, Alias, The Unit, The Mentalist and the 2-hour movie 24: Redemption. He is probably best known for his role in General Hospital, though. He also appeared in the box office movie The Peacemaker and the made-for-TV movies Merlin and Earthsea. Most recently he starred in episodes of Supernatural and Fringe. He has two upcoming projects L.L. and The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn.

Vicellous Reon Shannon

Vicellous Reon Shannon – Vicellous got his start in episodes of MacGyver, LA Law, Sister Sister and Picket Fences. He followed those with Chicago Hope, Moesha, The Client, Party of Five, Beverly Hills 90210, Early Edition, Touched By An Angel and NYPD Blue. He has also had guest appearances in Judging Amy, 24, The Guardian, JAG, The Shield, House, CSI and Sons of Anarchy.

Jimmi Simpson

Jimmi Simpson – One of Jimmi’s first TV appearances was in the made-for-TV movie Rose Red. He guest starred in 24, Cold CaseNYPD Blue and The Division. He later appeared in Carnivale, My Name is Earl, Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia, CSI, House, Psych and Party Down. He has appeared in the box office movies Date Night, The Invention of Lying, Zodiac, Herbie Fully Loaded and D.E.B.S. He has three upcoming projects, including Breakout Kings, Knights of Badassdom and The Big Bang.
