They Deserve Their Own Show (Part 59)

Here is the next installment of actors and actresses who are under-appreciated, deserving of more attention or perhaps even their own show:

Chelah Horsdal

Chelah Horsdal – Some of her first TV appearances were in episodes of Andromeda and Tru Calling. She then appeared in the made-for-TV movie 5ive Days to Midnight and guest appearances in The Dead Zone, The 4400, Supernatural, Criminal Minds and Smallville. She also appeared in the made-for-TV movie Fallen with Paul Wesley (of The Vampire Diaries fame) and made several appearances in Stargate: SG-1, Whistler, Battlestar Galactica and The L-Word. She guest starred in Men In Trees, Psych, Bionic Woman, Stargate Atlantis and Eureka. Her other made-for-TV movies include Lying to be Perfect, Mrs. Miracle, Come Dance at My Wedding and Flirting with Forty. She has four upcoming projects, including The Hostage, The Cabin in the Woods, The Tortured and Altitude.

Kayla Mae Maloney

Kayla Mae Maloney – Kayla Mae’s first TV appearance was on an episode of Strong Medicine, then she appeared in the short-lived series Medical Investigation. After that she appeared in Without A Trace, Bones, Boston Legal, Criminal Minds, CSI and Crossing Jordan. More recently she has appeared in episodes of Cold Case, NCIS, CSI: Miami, Saving Grace and Supernatural. She has appeared in the new drama The Good Guys and will be seen in the movie The Touch.

Stephanie Niznik

Stephanie Niznik – While Stephanie is best known for her role in the acclaimed family drama Everwood, her first TV appearance was in the syndicated series Vanishing Son. She has also appeared in episodes of Murder She Wrote, The Sentinel, The Guardian, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, Sliders, Profiler and Family Law. She appeared in several episodes of Diagnosis Murder and had a lead role in the short-lived series Life Is Wild. More recently she has been seen in CSI: Miami, Eli Stone, NCIS and Lost.

Adrian Holmes

Adrian Holmes – Adrian has a long resume of television appearances, including guest roles in Highlander, The Outer Limits, Seven Days, First Wave and Glory Days. He had a recurring role in the series Jeremiah and Cold Squad; and he also appeared in episodes of Tru Calling, Reunion, Kyle XY, Supernatural and Battlestar Galactica. He has most recent been seen in Fringe, Damages, Human Target and a recurring role in Smallville. He appeared in the made-for-TV movie Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of Charlie’s Angels and the movie White Noise 2: The Light. And, he has a number of upcoming projects including the film The Cabin in the Woods, Paradox with Kevin Sorbo and Frankie and Alice with Halle Berry (among others). He has also was recently seen in the Syfy movie Stonehenge Apocalypse with Misha Collins.

Tobias Mehler

Tobias Mehler – Tobias first appeared in episodes of Viper, First Wave and The Outer Limits and appeared in the movie Disturbing Behavior as well as the made-for-TV movies Love In Another Town, Carrie and Taken. He had a leading role in the short-lived series Young Blades and had a recurring role in Stargate: SG-1. He is probably best known for his small role in Battlestar Galactica, starring as the doomed fiancé of Kara “Starbuck” Thrace. He will be seen in the new movie The Touch.

Michael Mitchell

Michael Mitchell – Michael appeared in the made-for-TV movie Silver Bells with Tate Donovan and Anne Heche then had a recurring role in the short-lived series Invasion. He also appeared in several episodes of Phil of the Future, Thief and Veronica Mars. More recently he had guest roles in Scrubs, Fringe and Til Death and he appeared in the thriller Detention.
