ABC finally gives us new comedy tonight, plus the premiere of Happy Town, which critics are eviscerating. I have no desire to watch it, despite the adorable Amy Acker’s presence. Will you watch?
Modern Family – ABC 9/8c
“Travels with Scout” – Claire is caught off guard when Phil’s father shows up in an RV with a little four legged friend, and she becomes suspicious that he might be hiding a larger reason for the visit. Meanwhile, when Cameron hears Dylan is down a drummer in his band, he enthusiastically offers to fill in, and Jay and Gloria have to pay the consequences of accidentally taking Manny to see a traumatizing horror movie.
Cougar Town – ABC 9:30/8:30c
“Letting You Go” – Jules has mixed feelings when Travis gets accepted to two of his choice colleges. Now he must decide between schools in California or one just 20 minutes from home. As Jules struggles with the thought of Travis moving away, Grayson is there for her. Meanwhile, Laurie considers her feelings for Smith when he returns from law school, and Andy longs for the freedom to do whatever he wants around the house, free of Ellie’s rules.
In Plain Sight – USA 10/9c
“Fish or Cut Betta” – When Mary’s (Mary McCormack) new witness, Dominic (guest star Louis Lombardi), a former sociopathic hit man with a love of explosives, falls in love for the first time, Mary hopes he will finally have a shot at normalcy and redemption. Unfortunately, when the girl breaks his heart, Mary races to stop Dominic from taking out his pain in the form of an explosive device. Guest starring Louis Lombardi, Erika Alexander and Cristian de la Fuente in his last episode.
