They Deserve Their Own Show (Part 27)

Here is the next installment of actors and actresses who are under-appreciated, deserving of more attention or perhaps even their own show:

Laura Mennell

Laura Mennell

Laura Mennell – Like so many Canadian actors, Laura has made a guest appearance in both Stargate: SG-1 and Stargate: Atlantis but has also appeared in Special Unit 2, Andromeda, The L Word, Flash Gordon, Blood Ties, The 4400, Sanctuary and Smallville. She has appeared in the made-for-TV movies Nora Roberts’ Montana Sky and the ABC Family Channel movie Fallen (which starred Paul Wesley from The Vampire Diaries). Her movie work includes Flight 93, Thir13en Ghosts and Watchmen. She was most recently seen in an episode of Eureka.

Lisa Sheridan

Lisa Sheridan

Lisa Sheridan is probably best known for her work in the short-lived series Invasion, but her first major roles were in the series Legacy and FreakyLinks. She had guest roles in The Practice, Las Vegas, Without A Trace, Monk, Strong Medicine and Moonlight. More recently she appeared in a recurring role in the short-lived series Journeyman and guest appearances in CSI: Miami, Shark, Saving Grace, The Mentalist and NCIS.  She is currently working on the made-for-TV movie Working Miracles with Eddie Cibrian and Patrick Duffy.

Amber Tamblyn

Amber Tamblyn

Amber Tamblyn is the daughter of actor Russ Tamblyn (who appeared in the original theatrical movies 7 Brides for 7 Brothers and West Side Story). She got her start in the soap General Hospital, then moved on to guest roles in Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, Boston Public and Without A Trace. The role that put her on the map was as the lead in the beloved series Joan of Arcadia. Her made-for-TV movie roles include The Russell Girl (also with Paul Wesley from The Vampire Diaries) and Normal Adolescent Behavior. Her theatrical movies include The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and its sequel, The Ring and The Grudge 2. Most recently she appeared in the short-lived series The Unusuals and will appear in the movie Main Street, starring Orlando Bloom, Colin Firth and Patricia Clarkson.

Seth Peterson

Seth Peterson

Seth Peterson – He is best known for his current recurring role on Burn Notice, but is probably best known for Providence. He had blink and you’ll miss him roles in Beverly Hills, 90210, Viper and Relativity. He has had guest appearances on Charmed, Deadwood, Profiler, CSI, The Shield and CSI: NY. His current project is the movie Intent with Eric Roberts.

Michael B. Silver

Michael B. Silver

Michael B. Silver has a long resume of guest appearances in such shows as Designing Women, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, The Pretender, The X-Files, Providence, Monk, Cold Case, Supernatural, Heroes, Lie to Me and Mental (among many others). He had recurring roles in Beautiful People, CSI: Miami, Veronica Mars, Shark, ER and Las Vegas. He had a role in the movie Seabiscuit and will be seen in the movie Love Shack with Mark Feurerstein (from Royal Pains).

Dean Winters

Dean Winters

Dean Winters is probably best known for his role in the cable series Oz but he has been seen as a recurring character in the shows 30 Rock, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Life on Mars and Rescue Me. He made appearances in NYPD Blue, Sex and the City, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, CSI: Miami and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. He appeared in the movie P.S. I Love You. He will be seen in at least one episode of the mid-season series Happy Town and the movies Today’s Special and Splinterheads.
