They Deserve Their Own Show (Part 12)

By  |

Here is the next installment of actors and actresses who are under-appreciated, deserving to get more attention or perhaps even their own show:

Seana Kofoed

Seana Kofoed

Seana Kofoed – Seana’s resume isn’t very long and much of what she’s done isn’t very memorable, but she did make a name for herself (and captured a lot of hearts) as Anne Heche’s best friend Jane on Men In Trees.  She’s had guest roles in Third Watch, Ed, Valentine and Numb3rs.  She also had a small role in the made-for-TV movie The Audrey Hepburn Story, which starred Jennifer Love Hewitt.

Lisa Lackey

Lisa Lackey

Lisa Lackey – She is probably best known as Janice Parkman (Matt’s ex-wife) on Heroes, but she has appeared as the lead in the series Just Cause (alongside Richard Thomas), made a few appearances in NYPD Blue, guest starred in episodes of Bones, Shark, Vanished, Crossing Jordan and Medium.  She appeared in the made-for-TV movies Fallen and Murder She Wrote: The Last Free Man.  Some of her early work included Silk Stalkings, The Pretender, Sliders, Strong Medicine and even the TV series Flipper with then unknown Jessica Alba.

Juliet Landau

Juliet Landau

Juliet Landau – Being the daughter of legendary actors Martin Landau and Barbara Bain, Juliet has acting in her blood.  But, appearing as Drusilla alongside James Marsters in Buffy, the Vampire Slayer and Angel put her in a special league all her own.  Prior to this memorable role, though, she had guest roles in Millennium and La Femme Nikita and she appeared in the movie Ed Wood.  Her voice has been heard in the animation series Justice League and Ben 10: Alien Force and she has three ongoing projects, including The Yellow Wallpaper, Material Lies with Dean Cain and Teri Polo and Land of Canaan with Tara Reid.

Kyle Howard

Kyle Howard

Kyle Howard – Kyle had guest roles on Chicago Hope and Pacific Blue before landing numerous appearances on The Love Boat: The Next Wave, Grosse Pointe and The Drew Carey Show. He then had a recurring role in the short-lived WB series Related and can be seen on the TBS comedy My Boys. He has appeared in the movie Orange County and the made-for-TV movie Holiday in Handcuffs with Melissa Joan Hart and Mario Lopez. He will be seen in the movie Made for Each Other with Danny and Christopher Masterson and Patrick Warburton.

Ryan Hurst

Ryan Hurst

Ryan Hurst – He is probably best remembered for his role in the box office movie Remember the Titans and the made-for-TV movie Taken. He has been seen in TV shows such as Touched By An Angel, John Doe, House, Everwood and Medium. He had a lead role in the short-lived series Wanted alongside Gary Cole and Rashida Jones and has recently had a guest starring role in Sons of Anarchy.

Cheyenne Jackson

Cheyenne Jackson

Cheyenne Jackson – Cheyenne doesn’t have a lot on his resume quite yet, but he made an impression on viewers in a guest-starring role on Life on Mars as a one-hit wonder 1970’s singer and he’s appeared on Lipstick Jungle, The Mentalist and Ugly Betty. He was part of the cast of the box office movie United 93, appeared in Xanadu on Broadway and he’ll star alongside Laura Allen in the movie Hysteria. He will also make a guest appearance in the FOX series Glee this fall.

Do you agree? Disagree? Do you recognize any or are they all unknown to you? NGTV would love to hear your thoughts. The next installment will be posted next Wednesday.
