They Deserve Their Own Show (Part 7)
Here is the next installment of actors and actresses who are under-appreciated, deserving to get more attention or perhaps even their own show:
Kimberly Elise – Kimberly has made appearances in Girlfriends, Soul Food and Private Practice, but is probably best known for her role in Close to Home alongside Jennifer Finnigan. She has been seen in the movies Woman Thou Art Loosed, Tyler Perry’s Diary of a Mad Black Woman, The Great Debaters and The Manchurian Candidate. She also recently appeared in the made-for-TV movie Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story, which starred Cuba Gooding, Jr. She had a recurring role on Grey’s Anatomy and has one project in the works called Red Soil with Laurence Fishburne.
Julie Ann Emery – Julie Ann got her start on the short-lived series First Monday and followed that up with a part in the Sci-Fi Channel mini-series Taken. She had a short recurring role in ER and then landed on another short-lived series Line of Fire before moving on to a short recurring role in Commander in Chief. She has guest starred in Army Wives, Cupid, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Ghost Whisperer, Alias and Bones. Her movie roles have included Hitch and Nothing But the Truth and her made-for-TV movies include Pictures of Hollis Woods and Snow Wonder.
Samantha Ferris – Samantha had small bit parts in shows like Viper, The Sentinel, Stargate: SG-1, First Wave, Smallville and The L Word before being cast in a recurring role on The 4400. She will be recognized by Supernatural fans as Ellen Harvelle. Her movie roles include Along Came a Spider and Butterfly on a Wheel and the made-for-TV movies Last Chance Café and NYC: Tornado Terror. She recently appeared in the NBC mini-series Impact alongside David James Elliott and Natasha Henstridge, in the indie film Grace with Jordan Ladd and just finished the movie Icarus with Dolph Lundgren.
Kaj-Erik Eriksen – One of Kaj’s first jobs was on MacGyver and then he appeared on Goosebumps and Are You Afraid of the Dark? He appeared in episodes of The Commish, Promised Land, Prey, The Outer Limits and Criminal Minds. He had a recurring role in Beggars & Choosers and Boston Public. He was also seen in The 4400 and made an appearance in The Closer. His movies include 88 Minutes and Miracle on the Mountain: The Kincaid Family Story. His latest project is Ice Twisters.
Patrick Fabian – Folks will probably remember Patrick best from his roles in Joan of Arcadia and Veronica Mars, but he also appeared in Providence and Time of Your Life. Most recently he starred in the short-lived series Valentine on the CW and has appeared in Big Love. He has made guest appearances in countless shows like Life, Pushing Daisies, Burn Notice, Boston Legal, Bones, Ugly Betty and many more. He’s appeared in both ABC Family Channel movies Snow and Snow 2 and appeared in box office movie Must Love Dogs. He will be seen in the new Lifetime series Drop Dead Diva as well.
Noel Fisher – His voice has been heard in X-Men: Evolution and his face has been seen in the movies Max Keeble’s Big Move, Final Destination 2 and Agent Cody Banks. He has recently been seen in Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Life, The Mentalist and Bones. But he is probably best known for his role in The Riches alongside Minnie Driver and Eddie Izzard. He most recently appeared in four episodes of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
