They Deserve Their Own Show (Part 5)

By  |

Here is the next installment of actors and actresses who are under-appreciated, deserving to get more attention or perhaps even their own show:

Marisa Coughlin

Marisa Coughlin

Marisa Coughlan – Marisa has been acting since 1995 and most of her work was unmemorable until 1999 when she was cast in one of the lead roles in the short-lived Kevin Williamson series Wasteland. A number of years later she had a role in Boston Legal then landed the lead in the short-lived Lifetime series Side Order of Life. She has recently been seen in Medium and Bones.

Felicia Day

Felicia Day

Felicia Day – Her most recent work was as Penny in the online Joss Whedon sensation Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along-Blog, but she is probably best known to many as one of the potentials in Buffy, the Vampire Slayer. She has her own online series known as The Guild and she’s been seen in the made-for-TV movies Prairie Fever and Mystery Woman: Vision of a Murder. Folks will recognize her as part of the Sears Blue Appliance Crew commercials or her appearances in My Boys and Roommates.  She also appeared in the Season 1 finale episode of Dollhouse, which did not actually air, but will be screened at Comic Con and will appear on the DVD set.

Lexa Doig

Lexa Doig

Lexa Doig – Lexa had her first real big break in the Canadian series Traders before she landed a role in the syndicated series Andromeda. She went on to appear in The 4400 and had a recurring role in the latter part of Stargate: SG-1. She also recently appeared in several episodes of Eureka. She appeared as the lead in the made-for-TV movie Fireball alongside Ian Somerhalder. Her movie roles include Jason X and the made-for-TV movies Second Sight and Ba’al: The Storm God. NOTE: She is married to Michael Shanks of Stargate: SG-1 fame.

Michael Cudlitz

Michael Cudlitz

Michael Cudlitz – Michael has been acting for a long time and his face is probably more recognizable than his name; but folks may remember him from Beverly Hills 90210, the mini-series Band of Brothers and Prison Break. He was part of the main cast in the short-lived FOX drama Standoff, has made a couple of appearances on Lost (as Ana Lucia’s cop partner) and in Life (as a convicted felon). He can now be seen in the new John Wells drama Southland alongside The O.C.’s Benjamin McKenzie.  He has two projects in the works –  Surrogates and Stolen Lives.

Brett Cullen

Brett Cullen

Brett Cullen – Brett has a 20-year career and a face most viewers will remember from movies like The Thorn Birds and I’ll Take Manhattan; the TV shows Falcon Crest, The Young Riders and Legacy to name just a few. Most recently he’s been seen in Lost and Damages and in between all of these he’s appeared in The Mountain, Pepper Dennis, Friday Night Lights and Ugly Betty. He has three projects in the works, including Skateland and Killing Dinner. He will also be seen this summer in the ABC Family Channel series Make It or Break It.

Percy Daggs

Percy Daggs

Percy Daggs III – Best known to TV viewers as Wallace Fennell, the best friend of TV teen sleuth Veronica Mars, Percy guest starred in shows such as Family Law, NYPD Blue, The Guardian and Boston Public before his big break in the cult-favorite series. Since then he has made guest appearances in Raising the Bar and In Plain Sight.

Do you agree? Disagree? Do you recognize any or are they all unknowns to you? NGTV would love to hear your thoughts. The next installment will be posted next Wednesday.
