They Deserve Their Own Show (Part 4)

Here is another installment in what will be our long-running series of articles highlighting actors and actresses who deserve more attention or perhaps even their own show.

Paula Cale

Paula Cale – Before landing her big break as Joanie Hansen in the NBC series Providence alongside Melina Kanakaredes, Paula made guest appearances in Murphy Brown, The Naked Truth and Cybill. She also appeared in the made-for-TV movies Brian’s Song, Martin and Lewis and Living Proof. Since her days on Providence, she’s been seen in Ghost Whisperer, Joey and House.

Lacey Chabert

Lacey Chabert – Lacey is best known as Claudia Salinger in the cult-favorite series Party of Five. But did you know her voice has been heard in the animation movies Babes in Toyland and Journey Beneath the Sea and the animated series Family Guy and The Wild Thornberrys?  She has appeared in the movies Lost in Space, Mean Girls and Black Christmas.  Most recently she appeared in Ghosts of Girlfriends Past with Jennifer Garner and Matthew McConaughey.

Taylor Cole

Taylor Cole – She got her start in the short-lived WB series Summerland then made appearances on Numb3rs, CSI, Supernatural and Cold Case.  She has recently been seen as Rachel Mills (the agent going after Claire) in Heroes. NOTE: Her stepfather is fellow lister Shawn Christian.

Michael Cassidy

Michael Cassidy – Michael made a big splash in his first role on TV in the FOX series The O.C. He then headed off to the short-lived WB series Hidden Palms, made numerous guest appearances as Lex Luthor’s brother on Smallville and was a major player in the first season of the CW series Privileged. His one box office movie was Zoom and he appeared in the Josh Schwartz online series Rockville, CA.

Field Cate

Field Cate – As one of the youngest actors on this list, Field is best known to viewers as Young Ned on the critically-acclaimed series Pushing Daisies. He has made guest roles in Cold Case and Without A Trace. His voice has been featured in the movie Space Buddies and he will reprise in Santa Buddies. His movie roles include Struck and Chloe’s Prayer.

Shawn Christian

Shawn Christian – Shawn started out on soaps and that is where he is currently being seen – on Days of Our Lives.  In between that time, he appeared in Charmed, Beverly Hills 90210, Crossing Jordan, Birds of Prey, Boston Legal, Las Vegas and Summerland.  He’s also been seen in the made-for TV movies Undercover Christmas and Murder in the Hamptons and he’ll be seen in the movie Small Town Saturday Night with Chris Pine. NOTE: He is the stepfather of fellow lister Taylor Cole.
