Mark Sheppard Joins “Dollhouse”
SyFyPortal reports today that “Firefly” actor Mark Sheppard will join Dollhouse for at least three episodes.
Fans who might have wanted to see a return of actor Mark Sheppard to the Whedonverse are now getting their wish.
Reports, including one from Kevin Beaumont of Dollverse, say that Sheppard — best known as Badger in the Joss Whedon series “Firefly” — will take on a role in at least three episodes of Whedon’s new series, “Dollhouse.”
Sheppard himself confirmed the news on the SciFi.com forums on Saturday that he starts filming his episodes Aug. 18, and that it would be three episodes. However, no other details about his character or if he could continue past those three episodes were included in the reports.
Fans of “Battlestar Galactica” also are familiar with Sheppard as he played the popular attorney Romo Lampkin in the third and fourth season. He also had a recurring role in the short-lived NBC series “Bionic Woman.”
The British actor got his start in a pair of episodes of “Silk Stockings” in the early 1990s, but would later have guest roles in a number of shows including the 1993 “The X-Files” episode “Fire,” a 2000 episode of “Star Trek: Voyager” known as “Child’s Play,” The Chameleon from the short-lived UPN series “Special Unit 2,” and most recently a two-episode stint on the ABC Family series “The Middleman,” where he played Manservant Neville in “The Palindrome Reversal Palindrome” and “The Clotharian Contamination Protocol.”
“Dollhouse,” which stars Eliza Dushku, Amy Acker and “Battlestar Galactica” alum Tahmoh Penikett, premieres at mid-season on Fox.
