FULL CIRCLE: Kate Walsh Digs Deep

By  |

DirecTV’s new series, Full Circle by playwright Neil LaBute, depicts a series of dinners at an LA restaurant featuring different diners who end up all being connected. Each episode centers on two characters and the tangled drama of their relationship. One of them returns with another character in the following episode to reveal a whole new aspect of the riveting story. What happens when it all comes full circle?

In the first episode last week, Trisha Campbell (Kate Walsh), has a very rough dinner with her husband, Trent (Billy Campbell). There’s a tension in the couple’s anniversary dinner that is compounded by the addition of Peter, the piano player. As she and Trent try to have a relaxed dinner, the piano player goads Trent to the point of making an already strained dinner five times worse.

Her second episode, Trisha has a meal with her star student, Robbie (Noal Silver), and between these two meals, there are many discoveries about who Trisha is and what she wants in the end.

NGTV was invited to the set to visit with the cast, and interviewed Kate about working with another person (unlike most everyone else), the rhythms of performing for different writers and what the future of television might be if more shows were like Full Circle rather than series television.

Come back later this week to see the interview with Ally Sheedy and Noah Silver, where they discuss their relationship on screen as well as how the series might end.
