MERLIN: Anthony Stewart Head on the Madness of King Uther

By  |

Anthony Stewart Head is hilarious. HI-larious. He’s one of our favorite people to talk with, and that was no different this year at Comic Con. We sat down with Tony along with a few other reporters to find out what’s coming up for King Uther in Merlin season 4 and ended up congratulating him on Merlin being honored by the BFI, hearing about the improvements in the production value on the show, commiserating over not getting a chance to meet up with the other Buffy alum at Comic Con, and laughing, a lot. It’s a long interview by Comic Con standards, nearly 12 minutes, but worth the time. You definitely want to stick around to the end when someone mishears the role Tony suggests for himself on David Greenwalt’s new series, Grimm, and he gets a major fit of the giggles.

Merlin season 4 debuts in the UK this autumn and on Syfy in the US in early 2012. Freemantle Media has picked up the series for a fifth season, set to begin filming in Wales in March 2012.
