On sale beginning today is the Melissa & Joey: Season 1, part 1 , 2-disc DVD set, featuring the first 12 episodes and bonus features including a blooper reel, and featurettes. The ABC Family original comedy series returns June 29th with 20 more episodes, much to the delight of this Nice Girl.

Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence take the lad in this half hour comedy about a local politician who inherits her sister’s two teen children after their mother lands in prison and their father takes off following a scandal. Mel is in way over her head with this, so she takes on Joey as her “manny”, who’s had his share of bad luck and is now out of a job. Melissa & Joey is a delightful little comedy that’s fit for young and old, and reminds us of the wonders of the old-fashioned sitcom.
