I know Louise is going to be jumping up and down over this with me! EW reports that Jason Dohring (Veronica Mars, Moonlight) has signed on to the CW’s new series Ringer in a recurring role as Mr. Carpenter, a high school teacher at the new school attended by Juliet (Zoey Deutch), the stepdaughter of Manhattan socialite Siobhan Martin (Sarah Michelle …

The iconic British sci-fi series Doctor Who returns to BBC America tonight to kick off the second part of season 6. The Doctor returns with a bang when the TARDIS crash lands in 1930s Berlin while the team searches for Melody Pond, bringing the Doctor face to face with the greatest war criminal in the Universe – and Hitler. The …

On tonight’s new episode of Torchwood: Miracle Day, airing at 10/9c on Starz, features two of my favorite sci-fi actors guest starring: Nana Visitor and John de Lancie. Nana starred as Colonel Kira Nerys on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine while John was all over the Star Trek universe playing Q. I’ve known Nana for years, even running her official …

Nikita moves to Fridays this Fall on the CW, paired with Supernatural instead of The Vampire Diaries. At first this seemed like a mismatch, splitting up two shows with strong female leads and placing one with a series about two guys. But the similarities between the two shows are actually pretty strong once you look closer. Both are series about …

I have been waiting for this moment on Pretty Little Liars for a very long time! The girls finally told Dr. Sullivan everything that A has been putting them through since before Alison’s funeral. I had been thinking that if the girls could have someone on their side who believes them, they might be able to turn the tables on …

It’s such a long wait for “Merlin” to return and I’m missing it a lot. Meeting Anthony Head and the rest of the cast this past summer at San Diego Comic Con, was one of the highlights of my summer and a small relief. What a delightful man and such a talent. So of course, we had to make him …

Happy Endings was a late spring addition to ABC’s lineup last year. I tried not to get too attached because I assumed it would be canceled. After all, they held it until March, so the network must not have much faith in it. Surprise, not only is it totally endearing with an engaging cast, ABC picked it up for a …

Looks like summer vacation hasn’t mellowed Sue Sylvester at all! FOX has a fresh new promo for Glee season 3 that’s sure to make you smile. Glee returns Tuesday, September 20.

Castle returns to our screens with new episodes on Monday, September 19, and ABC just released a slew of new cast photos featuring Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion, Tamala Jones, Jon Huertas, Seamus Dever, Molly Quinn, Susan Sullivan, and new cast member Penny Johnson Jerald. LOVE the noir-style cast photo. And on a purely logistical note, thank you, ABC, for providing …

Today’s Women Behind the Scenes spotlight is shone on Director and Executive Producer Katie Jacobs. Getting her start as an assistant to the producer (David Permut) of the 1987 box office film Dragnet, which starred Dan Aykroyd and Tom Hanks, was a great way for Katie to break into the industry. From there she worked as an associate producer for …
