San Diego Comic Con 2018: Watching From the Sidelines

By  |

San Diego Comic Con 2018 gets underway tomorrow evening with preview night followed by four full days of panels, panels and more panels plus tons of celebrity appearances, sneak peek trailers, lots of cosplayers and lots and lots of people. But for the first time in 17 years, I will be attending San Diego Comic Con from the sidelines!

To be honest it feels strange to not be going to the convention that I have spent so many years attending in the past, but due to a number of circumstances, heading to San Diego every July is just not going to be a possibility for me for the foreseeable future.

But thankfully, there are still a number of my fellow NiceGirlsTV staff members who will be there, covering all the insanity, the fun and the craziness involved in the annual fete.

Please make sure to check out all of their reports on Twitter @NiceGirlsTV and check back here at our site for coverage on all things San Diego Comic Con 2018. If you get a chance, please also visit my site Rueben’s Ramblings for updates that I will be culminating from all of the major outlets reporting from the big event. And, if you need to “see” what’s going on, make sure to check out Syfy each night of the event, as the network will provide a run-down of what happened so you’ll feel like you’ve actually been there.

Even though I won’t be attending, I am anxious to learn what will be shared during panels for TV shows like Doctor Who, Tell Me A Story, A Discovery of Witches, The Passage, Manifest, Midnight Texas, The Gifted, The Man in the High Castle, The Magicians, Supernatural and more.

There will also be cool panels focusing on women like “Shattering Stereotypes,” “Fearless Woman,” “Brave Warriors” and “Women Rocking Hollywood” just to name a few. Also on tap will be the always entertaining John Barrowman and Kevin Smith, a Doctor Horrible reunion, a 40th Anniversary salute to Battlestar Galactica and panels that will take a sneak peek look at upcoming box office movies such as The Darkest Minds.

Of course, that’s just the tip of the iceberg for what’s on tap at San Diego Comic Con 2018. If you want to check out the schedule, head over to the Preview Night page and then click through each day’s schedule.
