WYNONNA EARP Roundtable: Walk the Line

By  |

It has taken a few days to process all the crazy wonderfulness that was the season finale of Wynonna Earp. Honestly – it was pretty perfect. Willa goes off the deep end (even more than before) bringing literal hell to earth and it’s up to Wynonna to stop her. She is joined of course by Dolls and Doc who aid her in their own unique ways. Wynonna manages to save the day and put down Bo Bo but not before a little bit of left over evil makes it’s way into Waverly. Here is hoping there is a season 2!

If Waverly isn’t an Earp do you think we’ve met her father? It’s a small town.
Rueben: Well, Willa said that their mother couldn’t take their father hitting her again so that would be a very good reason for her to find solace in someone else in the town; but I have no idea who that someone would be. Given what we saw at the very end, Waverly has some kind of connection to that crazy worm creature that was trying to get into the town; either that or because she simply touched the “goo” from that creature she took on certain characteristics of it, I don’t know. I’m stumped! I can’t imagine her every pulling a gun on Wynonna otherwise.
Leah: I’d like to think one of the Revenats is Waverly’s father. That, to me, would be the best revenge I could get on my abusive Earp husband. It’s just so sad for Waverly who already felt a little left out of the bond Willa and Wynonna shared – and – she was the family historian so to speak.
Jan: Honestly, I wondered if Bobo might be her father. He sure seemed awfully proud of how smart and resourceful she is, and the comment about Ward Earp not deserving all the goodness. If that were the case, though, I’m not sure where they could go with it given a second season, since Bobo is no more.

Do you think Wynonna killing BoBo was too merciful considering the crap he’s put them through all season?
Rueben: I don’t see it as being merciful at all. She had a job to do – get rid of all the revenants – and that’s exactly what she did. I actually see her shooting him like that as almost being too nice. It would’ve been so much better to see if go down so much more harshly given all that he did to them.
Leah: I know she wants to put all of them down so she can break the curse but it would have been fitting if he had suffered a little bit more. He was a bastard.
Jan: It was a bit merciful, but in the bigger picture she did say that the Earp curse could never be broken if she didn’t send each of the Revenant’s to hell…so she really needed to do it.

Any idea who the guy is that keeps showing up? Doc’s mechanic…BoBo’s “old pal”….
Rueben: That remains a mystery to me. I’m gonna guess that people who know the graphic novel on which the show is based could probably give us insight, though.
Leah: Not having read the comics I have no idea on this either. Maybe a comic book fan can fill us in – in the comments. I am guessing he is the angel to the revenants demons. Maybe he is even some incarnation of Wyatt himself.
Jan: That’s the million dollar question. I couldn’t get a good gauge on him, good or bad, and I’m curious where he’s been all season. My guess is if there a second season he will play a large part.
