Wynonna Earp Recap: “She Wouldn’t Be Gone”

By  |

Here is the official synopsis of last night’s episode of Wynonna Earp:

Wynonna and Dolls investigate the haunting, snowy Pine Barrens, where rumors of a bloodthirsty beast could prove Bobo’s undoing – and their own. Doc confronts his murky future and takes action, with Waverly’s inadvertent help.

Bobo’s Revenge

As revealed at the very end of last week’s episode, Bobo bought Shorty’s Saloon from Wynonna and Waverly’s Aunt Gus. This revelation was not a welcome one for the sisters AT ALL; and they were on the warpath. According to Bobo, Shorty’s will be a perfect cover for all of them, but I don’t expect Wynonna to give up that easily

We Didn’t Know You Could Do That

To make matters worse, the sisters learned that Bobo has a special power: he’s telekinetic. He used his power on Waverly, pulling a necklace that Waverly has worn nearly all of her life. A necklace that belonged to their elder sister Willa, who went missing and has been presumed dead for a very long time.

The Enemy of My Enemy Is My Friend

The main storyline of last night’s episode was learning from Whiskey Jim (the Fight Club owner who Dolls has trussed up) that Bobo has an archenemy (other than Wynonna, of course). That enemy is Lou, who was Bobo’s best friend for over 100 years, but they had a major falling out over whether the revenants should or shouldn’t hide from the public. Bobo supposed ran away while Lou reportedly disappeared into the Pine Barrens with a weapon so no one could turn against him again.

Let’s Go For A Walk in the Woods

Of course, this reveal led Wynonna and Dolls to the Pine Barrens in search of Lou. It should be noted that the Pine Barrens are legendary for being haunted. Wynonna and Dolls end up in a creepy commune led by none other than Lou himself; and he is surrounded by a bevy of young, impressionable women.

Who’s That Girl?

One of the girls at the commune was tasked with taking care of Wynonna; and once she and Dolls were able to basically liberate the commune, most of the girls were reunited with their families except that one girl. Wynonna decided to bring her home only to have their Aunt Gus recognize her as Willa – their missing and presumed dead sister. [Say What?!]

The next new episode of the debut season of Wynonna Earp will air on Syfy on Friday, June 10 at 10/9c.
