Nice Boy of the Week: Trevor Donovan
Our latest Nice Boy is actor Trevor Donovan, who grew up skiing and snowboarding, making it onto the US teen ski team. What some may not know is that Trevor is not only adept at sports but he also plays guitar, he sings and he has a bachelor degree in graphic design. He is also an animal lover and advocate.
His acting credits include a role on the long-running daytime soap opera Days of Our Lives, which later lead to a role on 90210 and the comedy Melissa & Joey. He has also made guest appearances in episodes of CSI, The Client List, Drop Dead Diva and Awkward.
Among the made-for-TV movies for which he has starred are Strawberry Summer, A Snow Globe Christmas, Bermuda Tentacles and the recently aired History Channel mini-series Texas Rising. He has also appeared in the box office films Surrogates, which starred Bruce Willis and Savages, which starred Blake Lively, Taylor Kitsch and Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
Here is our exclusive Q&A with Trevor:
Of the characters you have played on the small screen, which character do you admire the most and why?
I have to say I admire Teddy from 90210 because of the strength it took for him to come out. Especially at the age he was in high school.
Is there anything you would change about any specific character who you have played? If so, what and why?
No. I like to look back at the characters I’ve played, accepting and acknowledging them for who they are. I’m happy with where I am now and with the characters I (have) played, so I wouldn’t want to change anything about it.
What words of wisdom do you live?
Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them.
What is your favorite charity?
The RFK (Robert F. Kennedy) Foundation Center for Justice and Human Rights.
What’s the nicest thing a fan has ever done for you?
Recently I’ve been getting a lot of artwork from fans, drawings of me, which I think is pretty sweet.
This Sunday TV viewers can see Trevor as one of the leads in the touching family film Love Finds You in Charm, based on the book by Annalisa Daughety, on the UP Channel at 7/6c.
