Louise's Lounge

On the evils of this hiatus

By  |

If this were a normal Wednesday night in February, I’d be happily awaiting for every one of my shows in anticipation of what would be a great series of episodes. Instead, thanks for the digital conversion prospect, I’m spending my night hoping for at least one show to air so I can catch something new.

With Sweeps having moved, the amount of new shows this month has dwindled, mostly because the networks want to save up all of their blockbuster episodes for next month. I wouldn’t complain too much, but the shows that did come back in January did a great job of setting up those Sweeps episode and I am desperate for those answers.

It also doesn’t help that with less than two weeks remaining before many shows do come back, the promotions departments are really putting out all the stops to get everyone ready. I can’t tell you how much the teasers for both Gossip Girl and Supernatural have me wanting those episodes to be on tomorrow and Monday instead of in March.

Without any other option in sight, I’ll just grumpily wait in front of my television for my shows.

Roz lives in the Los Angeles area, and has been a long time California girl. Despite her better judgment, she enjoys shows about the shallow sides of her home city, but will also find time to watch iZombie, Jane the Virgin, and much more. With a love of history, she also watches anything that is grounded in real life, including Victoria and black-ish. Having worked with children, she also follows shows she knows they watch (reminding her of those days of yore for her in the process). Contact her at roz@nicegirlstv.com.
