San Diego Comic Con 2026

In just a little over a week, the 56th edition of San Diego Comic Con will be held at the San Diego Convention Center.

The official dates of the convention are July 23 through July 26 with preview night being held on July 22.

As usual, there are countless panels planned for the annual fete, but it should be noted that since the pandemic in 2020, San Diego Comic Con (as well as nearly all other entertainment-based events) have seen significant changes in terms of what studios attend with lavish productions and even what celebrities show up.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: A New Quest Awaits

There will be an exclusive first look at season 3 of the Disney+ series. Series stars Walker Scobell, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell, Tamara Smart, Levi Chrisopulos, and Olive Abercrombie are expected to appear along with executive producers Craig Silverstein and Dan Shotz.

Bear McCreary: Musical Worldbuilding

The composer behind God of War, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Battlestar Galactica, The Walking Dead and Outlander, as well as the new rock album The Singularity: Ekleipsis, will explore how creativity and collaboration intersect to create fictional worlds.

Aliens 40: The 40th Anniversary of One of the Best Sequels Ever Made

The 40th anniversary of the 1986 film Aliens will honor the James Cameron’s landmark sequel and its lasting impact on sci-fi action and pop culture. Cast members Michael Biehn, Jenette Goldstein, Mark Rolston and Ross Rico share behind-the-scenes stories, discuss groundbreaking effects, and trace Ripley’s evolution into an action icon.

July 24:

Smallville’s Kristin Kreuk: Black Starr

Actor Kristin Kreuk (Burden of Truth and Murder in a Small Town) will discuss her first comic book, Black Star, a Northern Gothic noir infused with horror and dark humor.

The Dead & the Undead: CBS Studios: A Ghosts Exclusive Panel and Eternally Yours Premiere Screening

Ghosts is back for its 5th consecutive year, featuring series stars Utkarsh Ambudkar, Asher Grodman, Sheila Carrasco, Román Zaragoza and executive producers Joe Port and Joe Wiseman to discuss the season 5 cliffhanger and tease what’s to come in season 6. After that the new CBS supernatural comedy series Eternally Yours will screen an exclusive premiere presentation. The series follows two vampires who have been married for 500 years and their struggles to accept the human who is dating their daughter, starring Ed Weeks (The Mindy Project) and Allegra Edwards (Upload).

The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3

Cast and producers are expected to include Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Lauren Cohan, Jimmi Simpson, Aimee Garcia and showrunner and executive producer Seth Hoffman and they will discuss the upcoming 3rd season with exclusive sneak peeks of the premiere episode.

Lanterns

Step into the world of the Green Lantern Corps as Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre unite with Garret Dillahunt, Poorna Jagannathan and co-creators Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof, and Tom King for a first look at the highly anticipated new series, with never-before-seen clips and behind-the-scenes insights.

NBC 100: Grimm 15th Anniversary Reunion

As part of its 100th birthday celebration, NBC reunites the cast and creators of its beloved fantasy crime drama Grimm for an exclusive 15th-anniversary panel. The panel looks back at the mysteries, mythology, and unforgettable characters that captivated audiences for six seasons through personal behind-the-scenes stories, fan-favorite moments, and a look at how Grimm became a lasting genre-bending hit.

Spaceballs: The Comic-Con Panel

The cast and filmmakers from the upcoming film Spaceballs: The New One offer a behind-the-Schwartz look at the sequel to the 1987 Mel Brooks cult classic. Between the reboots, legacy sequels, and cinematic universes competing for nostalgic attention this weekend, this is the one prepared to say exactly what it is doing.

July 25:

Star Trek Universe

The cast and executive producers of the Paramount+ original series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds share a look at what is ahead, alongside a celebration of Star Trek’s 60th anniversary featuring iconic talent from across the franchise. Exclusive footage, major reveals, surprise appearances and memorable moments are planned to celebrate six decades of boldly going where no one has gone before. Scheduled to appear from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds are Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, Ethan Peck, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, and Paul Wesley, alongside executive producers Akiva Goldsman, Henry Alonso Myers, and Alex Kurtzman. The franchise’s 60th anniversary celebration will also feature a special intro from Eugene “Rod” Roddenberry and a panel with iconic cast members spanning the Star Trek universe, including Michael Dorn, Robert Picardo, Connor Trinneer, Cirroc Lofton, Doug Jones, Michelle Hurd, Jerry O’Connell, Christina Chong, Karim Diané, and the legendary George Takei.

The Rookie

Series creator and executive producer Alexi Hawley along with cast members Nathan Fillion, Melissa O’Neil, Richard T. Jones, Alyssa Diaz, Eric Winter, Mekia Cox, Shawn Ashmore, Jenna Dewan, Lisseth Chavez and Deric Augustine discuss the upcoming season 9 premiere, the show’s streaming growth, and its rise as a viral hit with young viewers.

Jericho (TV Show/Graphic Novel) 20th Anniversary Panel

Celebrate the 20th anniversary of Jericho as the Save Jericho team and journalist Byron Lafayette discuss the show’s origins, creative evolution, and cultural impact, including behind-the-scenes stories and rare insights from the Jericho universe.

The Hillywood Show: A Star Wars Parody Panel

Hilly Hindi, creator of The Hillywood Show, appears with Richard Speight, Jr. (actor/director, Supernatural) and Matt Cohen (actor, Supernatural and General Hospital) to mark the release of Hillywood’s latest Star Wars parody. The new parody screens, followed by a Q&A with behind-the-scenes stories.

An Evening with Kevin Smith

If you let him, Kevin Smith is going to use his mouth on you in front of everyone in Hall H! Get the deets on the next film and upcoming comic releases, plus ask all your burning questions.

July 26:

The Baby-Sitters Club at 40

Forty years later, Kristy, Claudia, Mary Anne, Stacey, Dawn, and friends are still making new fans. Raina Telgemeier and Gale Galligan discuss the legacy and future of The Baby-Sitters Club and their newest adventure in graphic novel form.

From Blackbeard to Netflix: Pirates in Modern Media

Bryan Cantrell (author, Pirates of the Wild West), Dr. Rebecca Simon (Why We Love Pirates, historian), Isaac C. Singleton Jr. (actor, Pirates of the Caribbean), Zach McGowan (actor, Black Sails), and Lukas Ettlin (director, One Piece) explore how pirate history evolved into pirate mythology and continues to influence storytelling across film, television, comics, books, and video games.

Buffy: One More, with Feeling: The Musical Experience

The show closes with an interactive screening of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer musical episode “Once More, with Feeling” as Comic-Con’s closing event.
