This Is It! It’s Election Day

Well, it’s been a long time in coming or at least it’s felt like a long time in coming.

It’s Election Day in America!

Now, I know I’ve been a bit of a broken record with my thoughts on the Presidential election, and I’m sure that my opinion does not necessarily match those of all of our readers nor all of my fellow contributors here at NiceGirlsTV, but – at the very least – I hope that all of you have made your voices heard by voting.

This year it’s more important than any time in modern history to make your vote count, at least in my opinion.

Today, and for the next few days – as the experts have stated that it could take several days for ALL of the votes to be counted – it will be nailbiter for sure. But, I believe in our election process! I know that it is fair and free despite the continual false claims made by a certain candidate who has been spewing those lies for FAR too long. Not all of you will agree with me on this account, but that’s okay. The election is, after all, up to the American people, not a particular candidate, not any particular party or any of their supporters regardless of what is being said by either side.

What I want to believe is this: that the American people will choose the right person to hold the highest position in our country; a person who will put country and its people first; a person who will work for the good of the American people, working on a “to-do list” not a revenge and retribution list; a person who has integrity, intelligence and the wherewithal to do what is right not what is most expedient for themselves.

Most of all, I hope that those of you reading this article have not only made your voice heard by voting but that you will tune in to watch the election results.

Here is to the future of our country!
