Batwoman episode 110: How Queer Everything is Today

Alice celebrates her ultimate act of vengeance with Mouse; a distraught Mary focuses on Jacob Kane’s trial; Sophie seeks guidance concerning her love life from an unexpected source; Luke prioritizes protecting Batwoman’s secret.

Join NiceGirls Lisa and Cay as they discuss the episode using our feature SASSY: S(tupid), A(wesome), S(o) S(o) and Y(our Thoughts):

STUPID

Lisa: Mouse is stupid! Ugh…can we be rid of him please? I’m totally over that plotline.

Cay: I think that Kate should’ve totally played up the whole Slam shipping. Yes, it is not who she is, but it is good cover. I know she wants to be a role model for women like Parker, but I feel like she’s not always smart about protecting her identity! The less alike Kate and Batwoman are, the safer they both are!

Yeah, the whole “face off” stuff is so lame. It was fun in Mission Possible, but I’d tired of it here for sure!

AWESOME

Lisa: I love the addition of Parker, a smart lesbian high-school hacker that Kate can take under her wing. I loved the scene where Kate told her she would be there for her if she ever needed to talk. I hope we see more of her in future episodes.

Cay: She seems interesting, although once again, I hate having someone else in on Kate’s secret!

I loved Mary, as usual. It was nice to see Sophie and Mary have a bit of a heart-to-heart as well. I wish her and Kate would have a heart-to-heart. If anyone deserves to know Kate’s secret, it’s Mary!

SO SO

Cay:  Alice really doesn’t know what she wants! She seems to still want to be in a relationship with Kate, yet does everything she can to drive them apart. Yes, she’s mentally ill, but if we’re going to keep up this whole back and forth, I think she should actually show some sign that she’s got any of Beth left inside of her. In her mind she’s helping Kate, but to everyone else, there is nothing in her to be redeemed.

Lisa: I love that Batwoman had the courage to come out as a lesbian. It was a strong move that can empower so many people. My only concern is that the press and Gotham city will be much closer to finding out her identity. I have mixed feelings on it.

YOUR THOUGHTS

Lisa: OMG! That ending! If the real Beth showed up, who the hell is Alice? I can’t wait to see what happens on the next episode.

Cay: Now that all the Earths are one, CATCO can have the Batwoman scoop! I think “Beth” must be from another Earth, or she’s a total fake that Alice somehow created.

Batwoman airs Sunday nights at 8pm/7c on The CW and is available on the CW App the next day.
