Salute to Rising Stars
It’s that time again to salute those actresses who are on the move, actresses who deserve a little extra attention for their latest work, those actresses who are rising stars. Landing that crucial role in a TV movie or guest appearance in a successful show or film makes all the difference for aspiring actors.
Let’s take a look at the next two actresses who viewers should keep their eye on:
Lizzy Greene
Lizzy was born in Dallas, Texas, making her TV debut in the Nickelodeon sitcom Nicky, Rick, Dicky & Dawn, a series that started out focusing on 11-year-old Dawn Harper who didn’t have much in common with her brothers except for the fact they are quadruplets and that they could solve problems. Dawn was the leader of the pack; Nicky had the answer to almost everything; Ricky had a high IQ and Dicky had a way with words. The series ran from 2014 to 2018.
During those years, Lizzy appeared in two Nickelodeon specials and the Nickelodeon holiday movie Tiny Christmas. And then last year she was cast in the ABC drama A Million Little Things where she plays Sophie Dixon, teenage daughter of Delilah and Jon Dixon.

Nicole Kang
Nicole hails from McClain, Virgina. During her youth she was a competitive figure skater and trained in ballet and jazz dancing as well as singing. But she went to Case Western Reserve University in Ohio, earning her Bachelor of Arts degree. It was while she was in business school that she was bitten by the acting bug after taking theater as an elective. It was then that she changed her career path, auditioning at New York University where she eventually graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts after training at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. In 2017, she was nominated to receive the Helen Hayes Award for being the Outstanding Supporting Actress in “Sense and Sensibility.”
Her first big break came in the Lifetime TV series You, where she played Lynn Lieser and she followed that up with the role of Kiki in the final season of Orange Is the New Black. She appeared in an episode of the recently defunct Instinct and now appears as Mary Hamilton, step-sister in Kate Kane in The CW superhero series Batwoman.
