MANIFEST Roundtable: Crosswinds

By  |

Manifest returns after over a month of being on a holiday hiatus, finding Ben struggling to trust a journalist who wants him to participate in a Flight 828 podcast while Michaela’s callings rise to a whole new level when they are accompanied by hallucinations, and things get complicated when Olive invites Danny over for dinner.

Join us as we use our new ratings system known as SASSY – S(tupid), A(wesome), S(o) S(o) and Y(Your Thoughts):

Stupid:

Roz: What is Michaela doing with Jared? There’s just way too much “cheating” going on between all of these adults.

Rueben: Olive inviting Danny over for dinner, and Cal texting his dad to come over because of that. Really? Did Olive honestly think that Danny coming over for dinner was going to help her mom? C’mon! And, do Jared and Michaela think that their having sex isn’t going to hurt them and Lourdes even worse than the tension that’s been building up between them. Good grief!

Leah: The entire Olive/Danny/Cal/Ben story line. I. Do. Not. Care.

Awesome:

Roz: There wasn’t an entirely awesome moment, but I do have some serious burning questions about who is trying to find Michaela because that could be very awesome.

Rueben: I didn’t have an awesome, but I do give credit to Autumn for tossing out the phone given to her by Laurence; but I saw that scene coming where that other guy at the coffee shop has a new phone for her, and that the Major wants to see her. That’s not going to end well. I was also pleased that Agent Powell stepped up to look into the Major after Ben told him about her, but I also saw that aftermath – that he’d be found out, and he was.

Leah: I’m struggling to remember the last time this show had an awesome. Maybe it is all coming together and I just need to patience (that isn’t really my thing) but I need some sort of answers to come along. Something.

So-So:

Roz: I don’t love the story with our patient who Michaela woke up at all. Did the show need to get a storyline with an abused wife?

Rueben: What was the deal with those people wanting to touch Adrian? That was just weird.

Leah: I want to like Jared and Michalea more than I do. Their “declaration” of whatever it is they are doing was only so-so for me.

Your Thoughts:

Roz: There are about fifty questions I have! Who is the Major? What is going on with the guy looking for Michaela? Why might Cal be the Holy Grail?

Rueben: What’s the deal with Michaela hearing a man’s voice in one of her callings, and who is the woman that she is told to find? And why is Cal getting this vision too? Can Ben really trust Aaron, the podcaster? Or is that some kind of crazy twist being conducted by the Major? Is Cal supposed to be the Holy Grail that the covert group is seeking, and is the Major in New York to take him? When are they going to give us some answer about all those other lingering questions we’ve had?
