My Top 12 November TV Choices
Can you guys believe that Halloween is nearly here and with that the holidays are just around the corner? Where did this year go?
With the major holidays nearly upon us, there are plenty of holiday movies that are starting to air on linear TV as well as on streaming services; and there are plenty of other viewing options, including specials and new dramas set to debut.
There are nearly 40 movies – most of which are holiday-themed, by the way – set to debut throughout November, but despite my previous viewing choices in the past, there are less than 10 movies out of that very long list that I am looking forward to watching next month.
So, let’s take a look at that list first:
Christmas Above the Clouds will debut on the Hallmark Channel on November 8, starring Erin Krakow and Tyler Hynes in a modern-look at Scrooge set on an international flight to Australia.
Alicia Silverstone and Oliver Hudson will play a recently divorced couple in the Netflix holiday flick A Merry Little Ex-Mas on November 12.
Reacher star Alan Ritchson and Kevin James will appear in the Amazon Prime movie Playdate on November 12. Check out the video below to see what this movie is about:
Paul Campbell, Tyler Hynes and Andrew Walker return as the Brenner brothers on November 15 in the next Hallmark Channel movie Three Wisest Men (the third movie in the franchise) with Margaret Colin returning as their mother.
The CW is launching new rom-coms in November with the first being Montana Mavericks on November 16, starring Arrow and Shadowhunters alum Katherine McNamara, starring as Heather, a New York City girl and a best-selling author on a mission to conquer writer’s block, who heads out for a “Yellowstone” adventure..
Ransom Canyon’s Minka Kelly will star in the Netflix holiday movie Champagne Problems on November 19, which finds her character traveling to France to secure the acquisition of a renowned champagne brand before Christmas, but her plans are upended when she falls into a whirlwind romance with a charming Parisian – only to discover he’s the founder’s son.
Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Monaghan are back for The Family Plan 2 on Apple TV+ on November 21 with Game of Thrones alum Kit Harington along for the ride as the villain.
Lastly, the Hallmark Channel movie We Met in December will debut on November 27, starring Autumn Reeser and Niall Matter in a story about two strangers, who after a magical night sharing hopes, dreams, and a perfect kiss, they lose each other with no way to connect so they embark on a quest to find each other by Christmas.
Then there are a few other programming options that I’m looking forward to watching in November, including the following:
The 2-hour NBC special Wicked: One Wonderful Night will debut on November 6, featuring reimagined musical arrangements, cast interviews, behind-the-scenes moments, exclusive surprises and maybe even a sneak peek at what’s to come in the next chapter of Oz;
The second season of Mistletoe Murders, starring Sarah Drew and Peter Mooney, will premiere on the Hallmark Channel on November 7 and come to an end on November 21;
The crossover episodes of NCIS: Origins and NCIS will air on CBS at the special times of 8 PM (for NCIS: Origins) and 9 PM (for NCIS) on November 11; and,
Michael Caine will star in the PBS series The Great Escaper on November 23, telling the ttrue story of Bernard Jordan, who made global headlines in the summer of 2014, as he staged a “great escape” from his care home to join fellow war veterans on a beach in Normandy, commemorating their fallen comrades at the D-Day Landings 70th anniversary.
Our full November calendar – focusing on dramas, specials and movies – on linear TV and streaming services will go live later today so make sure to check out what all is happening on TV next month and share your top choices with us in our comments section below.
