October 1 – The finale of The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox will air online on Hulu today
October 1 – The new movie Play Dirty will debut online on Amazon Prime today
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: An expert thief rolls out the biggest heist of his life. In this action-packed thriller, Parker (Mark Wahlberg), along with Grofield (LaKeith Stanfield), Zen (Rosa Salazar) and a skilled crew, stumble onto a score that pits them against the New York mob.
October 1 – The season premieres of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. will all air on NBC at 8, 9 and 10 PM respectively
October 2 – The second season of Karen Pirie will premiere online on Britbox today
October 3 – The Netflix feature film Steve will debut online today
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The movie is set in the mid-1990s with Cillian Murphy starring as Steve, who battles to keep his school open while dealing with his own mental illness. Meanwhile, the story will follow a student named Shy (Jay Lycurgo) who grapples with his violent tendencies. The cast includes Emily Watson and Tracey Ullman.
October 3 – The Disney+ animated series Marvel Zombies will debut online today
Show Synopsis: The series follows a group of survivors as they risk their lives fighting superpowered zombies to save the world. Voices will be provided by Iman Vellani, Dominique Thorne, Hailee Steinfeld, Kerry Condon, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Randall Park, Wyatt Russell, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Tessa Thompson and F. Murray Abraham.
October 3 – The Apple TV+ movie The Lost Bus will debut online today
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A school bus driver (Matthew McConaughey) has to navigate a bus carrying children and their teacher (America Ferrera) to safety through the 2018 Camp Fire, the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California history. The movie also stars Yul Vazquez.
October 3 – Netflix will premiere the third season of the Monster franchise online today with The Ed Gein Story
Show Synopsis: The shocking true-life tale of Ed Gein (Charlie Hunnam), the infamous murderer and grave robber who inspired many of Hollywood’s most iconic on-screen killers. The cast includes Laurie Metcalf, Lesley Manville, Robin Weigert, Vicky Krieps, Tom Hollander and Mimi Kennedy.
October 4 – The Hallmark Channel movie Home Turf will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Cassidy is the president of a small college whose life is thrown for a loop when freshmen on the football team move into her home. Can Logan, the handsome coach, help smooth things over? The movie stars Nikki DeLoach and Warren Christie.
October 5 – The new dramas Maigret and The Gold will both debut on PBS at 9 and 10 PM respectively
Show Synopsis (Maigret): This series will be the first contemporary TV adaptation of Georges Simenon’s beloved novels that focuses on the streetwise Parisian Chief Inspector Jules Maigret (Benjamin Wainwright from Belgravia: The Next Chapter), who heads the elite police unit known as La Crim, responsible for investigating all serious crime in and around Paris.
Show Synopsis (The Gold): This period piece, set in 1983, is inspired by one of the largest robberies in British history: the Brink’s-Mat robbery. On November 26, 1983, six armed men broke into the Brink’s-Mat security depot near London’s Heathrow Airport and inadvertently stumbled across gold bullion worth £26m — the disposal of which led to a vast international money laundering operation and left controversy and murder in its wake. The cast includes Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey), Jack Lowden (Slow Horses), Dominic Cooper (Agent Carter and Captain America: The First Avenger) and Tom Cullen (Becoming Elizabeth) [among others.
October 5 – The UPtv movie Heartstrings Attached will debut at 7 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: With the promise of an inheritance from her grandfather spurring her, Emma (Megan Bradley) promises to tutor gifted violinist Ava Field (Natalie Miller), unaware her grandfather is playing matchmaker from the grave. Chris Connell co-stars.
October 5 – The CBS special A Grammy Salute to Cyndi Lauper: Live From the Hollywood Bowl at 8 PM
Special Synopsis: The concert will capture the essence of Lauper’s farewell tour, celebrating her extensive career and her contributions to music. The special will feature special guests and performances by the likes of Joni Mitchell, Cher, John Legend, SZA, Mickey Guyton and Brandi Carlile (among others).
October 5 – The Hallmark Channel movie The Jane Mysteries: Too Much to Lose will make its linear debut at 9 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When a reporter interviewing Jane (Jodie Sweetin) seeks help to find a missing colleague, Jane takes on the case. Irene has disappeared after winning a game show, which leads Jane to uncover a web of deceit. Stephen Huszar co-stars.
October 7 – The 4-part series Red Alert will debut online on Paramount+ today
Show Synopsis: The series portrays the largest and deadliest massacre in Israel’s history, when more than 1,200 concert-goers, families and individuals near the Gaza border were murdered and 250 kidnapped.
October 7 – The new HBO Max limited series drama One Day in October will air online today
Show Synopsis: The series presents seven emotionally gripping and artistically interwoven narratives of love, courage, sacrifice and survival. From families torn apart to moments of hope emerging in the face of unspeakable tragedy to incredible bravery against the odds, each episode reveals the human cost and resilience born out of chaos. The series portrays the victims’ and survivors’ experiences of that day and is brought to life by a distinguished cast and acclaimed creative team.
October 8 – The Amazon Prime movie Maintenance Required will air online today
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The film follows Charlie (Madelaine Petsch from Riverdale, who also serves as an executive producer), the owner of an all-female mechanic shop, who is forced to reevaluate her business when a flashy corporate competitor moves in across the street. Seeking comfort, she confides in an anonymous online confidant named Beau (Jacob Scipio from Bad Boys for Life), unaware that he is actually her real-life business rival. As their connection deepens, both online and offline, the truth about their identities threatens to complicate their budding relationship. The cast includes Katy O’Brian, Madison Bailey and Jim Gaffigan.
October 8 – The season finale of The Hardacres will air online on Britbox today
October 9 – The season premiere of 9-1-1 will air on ABC at 8 PM followed by the debut of the spin-off series 9-1-1: Nashville at 9 PM and then the 22nd season of Grey’s Anatomy will premiere at 10 PM
Show Synopsis (9-1-1: Nashville): In Tennessee, dedicated emergency responders balance their high-stakes careers with the drama of a powerful local dynasty, where personal lives and professional duties collide. The cast includes Chris O’Donnell, Jessica Capshaw, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, LeAnn Rimes, Juani Feliz, Hailey Kilgore, Hunter McVey and Michael Provost.
October 9 – The new series Boots will debut online on Netflix today
Show Synopsis: Bullied gay teen Cameron Cope (Miles Heizer) joins the Marine Corps with his best friend Ray McAffey (Liam Oh) despite risks. In boot camp they experience profound personal change amid danger, as their platoon confronts both literal and figurative landmines. The cast will also feature Brett Dalton, Vera Farmiga and Zach Roerig.
October 9 – The season finale of Peacemaker will air online on HBO Max today
October 10 – The new drama The Last Frontier will debut online on Apple TV+ today
Show Synopsis: The series focuses on Frank Remnick (Jason Clarke), the lone U.S. marshal in charge of the quiet, rugged barrens of Alaska. His jurisdiction is turned upside down when a prison transport plane crashes in the remote wilderness, setting free dozens of violent inmates. October 10 – The new movie The Woman in Cabin 10 will debut online today on Netflix
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Based on the 2016 novel by Ruth Ware, the story focuses on a journalist (Keira Knightley) covering the maiden voyage of a luxury cruise ship who is convinced she has witnessed a passenger being thrown overboard, despite all guests and crew being accounted for. The cast includes Guy Pearce, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Hannah Waddingham, David Ajala, David Morrissey, Daniel Ings and Kaya Scodelario.
October 10 – The season finale of Outlander: Blood of My Blood will air on Starz at 8 PM
October 10 – The live action feature film How to Train Your Dragon will make its streaming debut online on Peacock today
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: In this live-action and CGI-mixed film, as an ancient threat endangers both Vikings and dragons alike on the isle of Berk, the friendship between Hiccup (Mason Thames), an inventive Viking, and Toothless, a Night Fury dragon, becomes the key to both species forging a new future together. The cast includes Nico Parker, Gerard Butler and Nick Frost.
October 11 – The Hallmark Channel movie Haul Out the Halloween will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: New, Halloween-obsessed neighbors inspire residents of Evergreen Lane to haul out their spookiest costumes and décor to become EverSCREAM Lane. The cast includes Lacey Chabert, Wes Brown, Melissa Peterman, Stephen Tobolowsky and Ellen Travolta.
October 12 – The UPtv movie A Country Encore will debut at 7 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A corporate jingle writer is on the verge of abandoning her songwriting dreams for good when she mistakenly hands over an old love song to the man who broke her heart, a famous country singer looking for his next hit. The cast includes Amanda Jordan, Connor McMahon, Andrew Bushell, Richard Waugh, Lisa Michelle Cornelius and Kimberly-Sue Murray.
October 12 – The second season premiere of Matlock and the third season premiere of Elsbeth will air on a special night at 8:30 and 9:30 PM respectively on CBS
October 12 – The Hallmark Channel movie Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Buried at C will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Our favorite music teacher Gethsemane (Tamera Mowry-Housley) is back again along with her trusted ghost friend Eamon (Risteard Cooper) to solve the unexplained death of a sea captain. The film also stars Marco Grazzini.
October 13 – The season finale of The Crow Girl will air online on Acorn TV today
October 13 – The 8th season premiere of FBI followed by the second season of Watson, now on a new night, will premiere on CBS at 9 and 10 PM respectively
October 14 – The season premieres of NCIS, NCIS: Origins and NCIS: Sydney will all air on CBS at 8, 9 and 10 PM respectively
October 15 – The first three episodes of the new Hulu limited series Murdaugh: Death in the Family will air online today
Show Synopsis: Maggie and Alex (Patricia Arquette and Jason Clarke) enjoy a lavish life of privilege as members of one of South Carolina’s most powerful legal dynasties. But when their son Paul (Johnny Berchtold) is involved in a deadly boat crash, the family is faced with a test unlike any they’ve ever encountered. October 16 – The third season of The Diplomat will premiere online on Netflix today
October 16 – The limited series Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy will debut online on Peacock today

October 17 – The linear TV debut of Mistletoe Murder, the Hallmark+ series which debuted on Halloween day last year, will premiere on Hallmark Channel at 8 PM
October 17 – The season premiere of Fire Country will air on CBS at 8 PM followed by the debut of the spin-off series Sheriff Country at 9 PM and the debut of the Blue Bloods spin-off series Boston Blue at 10 PM
Show Synopsis (Sheriff Country): Morena Baccarin stars as straight-shooting sheriff Mickey Fox, the stepsister of Cal Fire’s division chief Sharon Leone (Diane Farr from Fire Country). She investigates criminal activity while she patrols the streets of small-town Edgewater, contending with her ex-con father, Wes (W. Earl Brown), who is an off-the-grid marijuana grower, and a mysterious incident involving her wayward daughter. The series also stars Matt Lauria, Christopher Gorham and Michele Weaver.
Show Synopsis (Boston Blue): The spin-off series stars Donnie Wahlberg as NYPD officer Danny Reagan, who takes a position with the Boston PD. Once in Boston, he is paired with detective Lena Peters (Sonequa Martin-Green), the eldest daughter of a prominent law enforcement family. The series also stars Ernie Hudson, Gloria Reuben, Maggie Lawson, Marcus Scribner and Mika Amonsen.
October 17 – The season finale of The Rainmaker will air on the USA Network at 10 PM
October 18 – The Hallmark Channel movie A Royal Montana Christmas, the first of this year’s Countdown to Christmas, will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Overwhelmed by her royal duties during the Christmas season, Princess Victoria of Zelarnia (Fiona Gubelmann) is ready for a change of pace. Looking to decompress in the days leading up to Christmas, she decides to take a vacation to Peaceful Pines Ranch in Montana where she celebrated Christmas as a child with her late father. Upon arrival, she meets her dashing guide Huntley Blaylock (Warren Christie) who presents her and the other guests at the ranch with a rustic experience that is far from the royal treatment.
October 19 – The third season premiere of Tracker will air on CBS at 8 PM
October 19 – The UPtv movie Five Date Rule will debut at 7 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Hattie, a happily single children’s author receives a subscription to an online dating app for her birthday, resulting in a series of hilarious mismatches and convincing her more than ever she’s meant to be single. That is, until she meets a widower named Henry who insists it’s impossible to really get to know someone until you’ve had at least five dates. Janelle Arthur and Jason Burkey co-star.
October 19 – The Hallmark Channel holiday movie A Christmas Angel Match will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Monica (Meghan Ory) and Michael (Benjamin Ayres) are Christmas Angels tasked with bringing destined soulmates together during the most magical season of all. Typically, Angels work alone, but when the Christmas Connection Department faces the threat of downsizing, Monica and Michael are unexpectedly paired to ensure Daisy and Patrick fall in love before Christmas. October 25 – The Hallmark Channel holiday movie Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper! will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Weatherman Ted Cooper (Robert Buckley) loves Christmas, but the past three have been terrible. This year, Ted has made up his mind that things will be different – this will be the Christmas things turn around for him. But Ted’s relentless optimism is about to be put to the test as he is faced with a litany of injuries and obstacles when he travels back to his hometown of Lackawanna, New York for the holidays. Within hours of arriving at his sister Kate’s house, he finds himself making a trip to Urgent Care after falling off a ladder while hanging decorations. While there, he runs into Ruth Mittens, his former high school science teacher who was always his cheerleader. He also reconnects with the charming Hope Miller (Kimberley Sustad), except now she’s Dr. Hope Miller, with whom he went to high school and quietly crushed on from afar. Ted is optimistic that this budding romance is the beginning of his Christmas comeback, but his looming holiday bad luck still has a few curveballs in store for him. Luckily for Ted, he won’t have to face them alone – he’ll have the support of Kate, Ruth, and Hope to help him overcome the challenges thrown his way and finally enjoy a well-earned merry Christmas.

Show Synopsis: When a house explodes in a quiet Oxford suburb and a girl disappears in the aftermath, neighbor Sarah Tucker (Ruth Wilson) becomes obsessed with finding her and enlists the help of private investigator Zoë Boehm (Emma Thompson). Zoë and Sarah suddenly find themselves in a complex conspiracy that reveals people long believed dead are still among the living, while the living are fast joining the dead. October 29 – The feature film Hedda will debut online on Amazon Prime today
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The story, now set in mid-20th-century England, follows disaffected aristocrat Hedda Tesman (née Gabler) [Tessa Thompson], on the day of a lavish party thrown by her academic husband George (Tom Bateman). It opens with an overt hint as to Hedda’s mindset: her suicide attempt at the lake by her husband’s estate is interrupted by a phone call informing her of the long-awaited return of her former flame—and George’s academic rival—Eileen Lovborg (Nina Hoss), a gender-bent incarnation of the play’s Ejlert Løvborg, gesturing explicitly towards a queer reimagining.
October 30 – The fourth season premiere of The Witcher, now starring Liam Hemsworth in the lead role (taking over for Henry Cavill), will air online on Netflix today
