The following list provides the dates of the dramas that will debut, return or end on the major and cable networks as well as on streaming services AND the made-for-TV movies and so much more that will air all throughout September:

September 1 – The new Amazon Prime drama The Runarounds will debut online today

Show Synopsis: The series follows a group of recent high school graduates from Wilmington, North Carolina, who come together the summer after graduation to form a rock band, united by their shared love of music and near-impossible dream of stardom. Over the course of one unforgettable summer, they throw themselves into the pursuit of their big break – falling in love, getting into trouble, and building the kind of bonds that feel like family along the way. The cast includes Lilah Pate, William Lipton, Brooklyn Decker, Hayes MacArthur and a number of newcomers.

September 1 – The new series Karen Kingsbury’s A Thousand Tomorrows will debut online on Netflix today

Show Synopsis: This 6-episode mini-series tells the story of Cody Gunner (Colin Ford), a bull rider who is pretty much a legend among the other professionals of his segment. The secret to his success: anger. His equally famous bull-riding father abandoned the family when Cody was just 11 years old. Having lived most of his life with a wall pulled up around him, Cody starts to change when he meets Ali (Rose Reid), a Christian woman who starts to teach him to see the world through another lens.

September 1 – The new movie Winter Spring Summer or Fall will debut online on Paramount+ today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Remi and Barnes (Jenna Ortega and Percy Hynes White), two very different teenagers, meet by chance in the winter of their senior year, then spend four days together over the course of a year that will change their lives forever. Adam Rodriguez and Marisol Nichols co-star.

September 3 – The finale of Countdown will air online on Amazon Prime today

September 3 – The second part of season two of Wednesday will premiere online today on Netflix

September 4 – The new spin-off series NCIS: Tony & Ziva will debut its first three episodes on Paramount+

Show Synopsis: After Ziva’s apparent death, Tony raises their daughter, Tali (Isla Gie). Years later, Ziva (Cote de Pablo) returns and reunites with Tony (Michael Weatherly). Tony’s company is attacked, and the family travels to Europe, trying to learn who’s after them and to trust each other again.

September 4 – The new Britbox drama Lynley will debut online today

Show Synopsis: Tommy Lynley (Leo Suter) is a brilliant police detective but an outsider in the force – simply by virtue of his aristocratic upbringing. He is paired with Barbara Havers (Sofia Barclay), a sergeant with a maverick attitude and a working-class background. With seemingly nothing in common and against all odds, the mismatched duo of Lynley and Havers become a formidable team, bonded by their desire to see justice done. His brain and her spirit – his knowledge and her instincts. It is only through working side by side do they both find where they truly belong. The cast includes Daniel Mays.

September 4 – The new crime drama The Sunshine Murders will debut its first two episodes on UPtv starting at 7 PM

Show Synopsis: The series is about an unlikely crime fighting duo made up of two very different sisters. Shirley (Emily Corcoran), a farmer from New Zealand in search of her father, travels to Athens and meets her half-sister and detective, Helen (Dora Chrysikou). Shirley soon helps Helen solve crimes with her ‘bush’ wisdom and wit while they try to find their missing father. The series stars British pop star Peter Andre, Stephanie Beacham, Camilla Rutherford, Nick Moran, Nina Wadia and Marina Sirtis.

September 5 – The Apple TV+ movie Highest 2 Lowest will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The Spike Lee directed movie stars Denzel Washington as a titan music mogul, who is targeted with a ransom plot. He is then jammed up in a life-or-death moral dilemma. The cast includes Jeffrey Wright, Ilfenesh Hadera, A$AP Rocky and Aubrey Joseph.

September 5 – The finale of Dexter: Resurrection will air online on Paramount+ today

September 6 – The first Hallmark+ franchise movie The Groomsmen: First Look will make its linear debut on Hallmark Channel at 8 PM

NOTE: This movie debuted on Hallmark+ back on October 17.

September 7 – The finale of Dexter: Resurrection will air on Showtime at 8 PM

September 7 – The third season premiere of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon will air online on AMC+ and on AMC at 9 PM

September 7 – The new drama Task will debut online on HBO Max and on HBO at 9 PM

Show Synopsis: Set in the working-class suburbs of Philadelphia, an FBI agent (Mark Ruffalo) heads a Task Force to put an end to a string of violent robberies led by an unsuspecting family man (Tom Pelphrey). The cast includes Martha Plimpton and Thuso Mbedu.

September 7 – The MTV Video Music Awards will air on CBS and MTV at 8 PM and online on Paramount+

September 8 – The finale of Irish Blood will air online on Acorn TV today

September 8 – The new drama The Crow Girl will debut online on Acorn TV today

Show Synopsis: Adapted from the internationally best-selling novel, the series follows DCI Jeanette Kilburn (Eve Myles) and eminent psychotherapist Dr. Sophia Craven (Katherine Kelly) as they join forces to hunt the killer of young men. The investigation takes Jeanette and Sophia into a dangerous world of historic abuse and murder. Dougray Scott co-stars.

September 9 – The first three episodes of the fifth season of Only Murders in the Building will premiere online on Hulu today

September 10 – The NBC special Downton Abbey Celebrates the Grand Finale will air at 9 PM

Special Synopsis: Join the cast of Downton Abbey in a toast to the global phenomenon’s final chapter with an all-new primetime special. The one-hour telecast features conversations with the beloved cast of the upcoming third and final film as they convened at London’s famed Savoy Hotel to exclusively share personal memories and never-before-told secrets from the franchise’s 15-year journey.

September 10 – The new Amazon Prime drama The Girlfriend will debut online today

Show Synopsis: Based on Michelle Frances’ novel of the same name, The Girlfriend follows Laura (Robin Wright), a woman who seemingly has it all: a glittering career, a loving husband, and her precious son, Daniel. Her perfect life begins to unravel when Daniel brings home Cherry (Olivia Cooke), a girlfriend who changes everything. After a tense introduction, Laura becomes convinced Cherry is hiding something. Is she a manipulative social climber, or is Laura just paranoid? The truth is a matter of perspective. The cast includes Anna Chancellor and Leo Suter.

September 10 – The Britbox period piece drama The Hardacres will debut online today

Show Synopsis: The show chronicles the sweeping rags to riches story of a working-class family in 1890s Yorkshire. The series follows the lives, loves and fortunes of the Hardacre family as they move from a grimy fish dock to a vast country estate. When an accident at work on the docks lands Sam (Liam McMahon) and Mary Hardacre (Claire Cooper) – along with their three kids Joe (Adam Little), Liza (Shannon Lavelle) and Harry (Zak Ford-Williams), and Mary’s inimitable mother Ma (Julie Graham) – unemployed and destitute, they have to think fast. In a bid to avoid the workhouse, the driven and determined Hardacres put their last penny into a radical business venture they hope will free them from their harsh existence on the quays of the North Yorkshire coast.

September 11 – The finale of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will air online on Paramount+ today

September 12 – The Netflix rom-com movie The Wrong Paris will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A woman (Miranda Cosgrove) joins a dating show thinking it’s in Paris, France for an art opportunity, but it’s actually in Paris, Texas. She tries to get eliminated until falling for the bachelor (Pierson Fode), complicating her plans. The movie also stars Madison Pettis, Yvonne Orji, Torrance Coombs and Frances Fisher.

September 12 – The season finale of the sci-fi series Foundation will air online on Apple TV+. [NOTE: The show was picked up for a fourth season one day before its finale was to air.]

September 13 – The first Hallmark+ franchise movie The Groomsmen: Second Chance will make its linear debut on Hallmark Channel at 8 PM

NOTE: This movie debuted on Hallmark+ back on October 24.

September 14 – The Hallmark Channel movie Mystery Island: House Rules will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Mystery Island success raises plans of expansion, and the Island team meets their Mystery Mountain counterparts for a friendly murder game, but the fun ends with a murder in plain sight. Elizabeth Henstridge and Charlie Weber star.

September 14 – The 77th Annual Emmy Awards will air on CBS at 8 PM

September 14 – The second season of the FOX medical drama Doc will air on the special night (Sunday) and at the special time of 8 PM

September 16 – The second season of High Potential will premiere on ABC at 10 PM

September 17 – The series finale of The Summer I Turned Pretty will air online today on Amazon Prime

September 17 – The season finale of Family Law will air on CW at 9 PM

September 17 – The season four premiere of The Morning Show will air online on Apple TV+ today

September 17 – The first three episodes of season two of Gen V will premiere online on Amazon Prime today

September 18 – The third season of Reasonable Doubt will premiere online on Hulu today

September 18 – The new limited series Black Rabbit will debut online on Netflix today

Show Synopsis: A rising-star restaurateur is forced into New York’s criminal underworld when his chaotic brother returns to town with loan sharks on his trail. The cast includes Jason Bateman, Judd Law, Abbey Lee, Dagmara Dominczyk, Odessa Young, Sope Dirisu, Troy Kotsur, Chris Coy and Cleopatra Coleman.

September 19 – The new Apple TV+ series Chief of War will air its season finale today online

September 19 – The Hulu movie Swiped will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Inspired by the story of Whitney Wolfe Herd (Lily James), founder and former CEO of dating platform Bumble. The movie also stars Dermot Mulroney, Dan Stevens, Clea DuVall, Pierson Fode and Joely Fisher.

September 20 – The first Hallmark+ franchise movie The Groomsmen: Last Dance will make its linear debut on Hallmark Channel at 8 PM

NOTE: This movie debuted on Hallmark+ back on October 31.

September 21 – The third season of Tulsa King will premiere online on Paramount+ today

September 21 – The documentary Lilith Fair: Building a Mystery will debut online on both Hulu and Disney+ today

Documentary Synopsis: This documentary tells the untold story of the groundbreaking music festival featuring only women artists, started by iconic Canadian singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan and her team in the late 1990s, in opposition to systemic industry barriers that limited women from playing together on a concert bill and getting back-to-back airplay on the radio. The documentary reunites and features interviews with Sarah McLachlan and original Lilith Fair artists Bonnie Raitt, Sheryl Crow, Erykah Badu, Paula Cole, Jewel, Mýa, Natalie Merchant, Indigo Girls and Emmylou Harris and a new generation of artists who have carried the torch, including Brandi Carlile and Olivia Rodrigo, among others.

September 21 – The CBS special A Grammy’s Salute to Earth, Wind & Fire Live: The 21st Night of September will air at 8 PM

September 22 – The second season premiere of Brilliant Minds will air on NBC at 10 PM

September 23 – The FOX drama Murder in a Small Town will air its second season premiere at 8 PM followed by the timeslot premiere of Doc at 9 PM

September 23 – The finale of Alien: Earth will air on FX on Hulu and on FX at 8 PM followed by the debut of the new series The Lowdown at 9 PM

Show Synopsis (The Lowdown): The series follows the gritty exploits of citizen journalist Lee Raybon (Ethan Hawke, who also serves as one of the executive producers), a self-proclaimed Tulsa “truthstorian” whose obsession with the truth is always getting him into trouble. Lee lives and works in a rare bookstore tucked in the heart of Tulsa – a local refuge and unofficial community hub. While Lee’s no idealist, he’s fiercely committed to exposing corruption and unearthing the city’s hidden rot, even when it puts him at risk. His constant sleuthing pulls him deep into Tulsa’s underbelly – and often away from his 14-year-old daughter Francis (Ryan Kiera Armstrong, soon to be seen in the Buffy, the Vampire Slayer reboot), a precocious kid who’s inherited his curiosity and longs to join him on his adventures. Other cast members include Kkaniehtiio Horn, Tim Blake Nelson, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Kyle MacLachlan and Keith David.

September 24 – The first two episodes of season five of Slow Horses will premiere online on Apple TV+ today

September 24 – The finale of The Terminal List: Dark Wolf will air online on Amazon Prime today

September 24 – The new series Hotel Costiera will debut online on Amazon Prime today

Show Synopsis: Daniel De Luca (Grey’s Anatomy’s Jesse Williams) is a half-Italian ex-marine who returns to Italy, the land of his childhood, and takes up problem solving in one of the most luxurious hotels in the world, located on the spectacular coast of Positano.

September 24 – The Canadian drama Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent will debut on CW at 8 PM

Show Synopsis: The series follows an elite squad of Canadian police detectives who investigate high-profile crimes and corruption in metro Toronto, Ontario. The cast includes Aden Young, Kathleen Munroe, K.C. Collins, Karen Robinson and Nicola Correia-Damude.

September 25 – The new drama House of Guinness will debut online on Netflix today

Show Synopsis: The period piece follows the aftermath of the death of brewery mogul, Sir Benjamin Guinness, and the great impact of his will on the fate of his four adult children: Arthur (Anthony Boyle), Edward (Louis Partridge), Anne (Emily Fairn), Ben (Fionn O’Shea), and other Dubliners affected by the expanding Guinness empire. The cast includes James Norton and Jack Gleeson.

September 25 – The finale of the Britbox drama Lynley will air online today

September 25 – The new drama The Red King will debut online on AMC+ today

Show Synopsis: After reporting a fellow officer for assaulting a suspect, by-the-book police sergeant Grace (Anjli Mohindra) is reassigned to an isolated island, but what begins as a punishment quickly turns into something far more sinister. A year after a teenage boy vanished without a trace, Grace reopens the cold case – only for his remains to surface in a place no one expected. As she digs deeper, the island’s eerie past begins to unravel: whispers of a secretive religious sect founded by an enigmatic leader, strange rituals, and a string of unexplained deaths. The series also stars James Bamford, Mark Lewis Jones, Marc Warren and Adjoa Andoh.

September 25 – The 25th season premiere of Law & Order will air on NBC at 8 PM followed by the season 27 premiere of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit at 9 PM and the season five premiere of Law & Order: Organized Crime will air at 10 PM

September 25 – The new limited series Wayward will debut online on Netflix today

Show Synopsis: A small-town cop suspects that the local school for troubled teens — and its dangerously charismatic founder — may not be all it seems. The cast includes Toni Collette, Patrick J. Adams, Brandon Jay McLaren, Alyvia Alyn Lind and Sarah Gadon.

September 25 – The new AMC+ drama Kidnapped: The Chloe Ayling Story will air its finale online today

September 26 – The new Apple TV+ movie All of You will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Brett Goldstein and Imogen Poots star in a stirring near-futuristic romance as best friends who harbor an unspoken love for one another even after a test matches one of them up with their supposed soulmate. The cast includes Jenna Coleman and Steven Cree.

September 26 – The first two episodes of new limited series The Savant will debut online on Apple TV+

Show Synopsis: The series follows an undercover investigator known as “The Savant” (Jessica Chastain) as she infiltrates online hate groups in an effort to stop domestic extremists before they act. The cast includes Nnamdi Asomugha, Jordana Spiro and guest star Pablo Schreiber.

NOTE: As of September 23, Apple TV+ has put the debut of The Savant on hold because of “current events” with no new debut date set.

September 26 – The Netflix movie Ruth & Boaz will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: This movie is a modern-day retelling of one of the most iconic love stories in the Bible. A young woman (Serayah from Empire) escapes the Atlanta music scene to care for an elderly widowed woman (Phylicia Rashad) and in the process finds the love of her life (Tyler Lepley from The Haves and the Have Nots) and gains the mother she never had. The film also stars Gregory Alan Williams and features appearances by Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and Jermaine Dupri.

September 27 – The Hallmark Channel movie Adventures in Love and Birding will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A single mom agrees to be the partner of a bird enthusiast for a birding competition but misunderstands the assignment and tells everyone she’s his new girlfriend instead of just his teammate. The movie stars Rachel Boston and Andrew Walker.

September 27 – The Great American Family movie Grounded in Love will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Annie (Danica McKellar), a spirited, Manhattan-based flight attendant, thrives on adventure and freedom, until an unexpected airline merger grounds her career and a breakup with a self-absorbed boyfriend leaves her questioning everything. Searching for clarity, Annie takes a road trip to her grandmother’s rural Kentucky farm – a place she hasn’t visited in years, though holds close to her heart. Nothing on the farm seems to have changed, except Jake (Tate Donovan), Annie’s childhood friend who recently traded in fast-paced city life for something more intentional. As two old friends reconnect, Annie rediscovers what matters most – family, faith, community, and the kind of love that stays rooted when everything else seems uncertain.

September 28 – The finales of the PBS dramas Professor T, The Marlow Murder Club and Unforgotten will air at 8, 9 and 10 PM respectively

September 28 – The third season premiere of Billy the Kid will air on MGM+ at 9 PM

September 29 – The Acorn TV drama Murder Before Evensong will debut online today

Show Synopsis: Canon Daniel Clement (Harry Potter’s Matthew Lewis), a rector, finds himself entangled in a murder investigation after a cousin of the church’s patron is discovered with a fatal stab wound inflicted by secateurs, leading him to unravel the mystery.

September 30 – The Hulu comedy Chad Powers will debut online today

Show Synopsis: A disgraced college quarterback named Russ Holliday (Glen Powell) disguises himself as Chad Powers and walks onto a struggling southern football team to revive his football career. The series also stars Steve Zahn, Wynn Everett, Perry Mattfield, Toby Huss and Clayne Crawford.
